Opinion 2009 Top 10 Most Improved

Not sure who the top ten are or in what order.

Duffield and Tarrant have improved for Freo

Ryder, Winders and maybe Dyson have improved for Essendon. Ryder has changed position after injuries to 3 of our ruck men.

Similar to Ryder, Clark has changed position and filled in for the absence of Burger and Charman.

And Byrnes has been playing for his spot in the Geelong squad all these years. Now he gets them over the line?

Dawson has been a revelation for St Kilda. Read somewhere that he is the most efficient kick? and he has been able to swing forward a couple of times and kick 2 vital goals.

He also covered for Max. H while he was out and seems to be taking Gooses spot at the moment.

I feel the Montagna was a very good player before this year and has just shown alot more consistancy this year, playing in a very good team also helps him to get space to run in which he is very good at. I also feel that higgins is more development than impovment. He has been a talented young player on the verge of better things. To improve a player should be consistantly average for 3 or more years and then become alot better much like Dawson.

Harry O'Brian?

He has to be top 3 for most improved i reckon. Love watching him play, runs hard, hits hard, doesnt give his man an inch and listening to him speak the other week on Friday night he is a very mature and intelligent bloke. Like the look of this guy, could be a captain in the making for the Pies.

Varcoe has been a pretty consistent improvement to Geelong this year. Byrnes has also had a few brilliant games.

Not this season. He was pretty much performing at the same level last season, but hasn't really been properly noticed till this year.

Improved incredibly in 2008.
