Hey mun, Riewoldt is no.1 cause dat be de way I see it mun. Lovett is da bomb. Gibbs be overeted mun. Kruezer be a long way behind de uders mun. Do ya want ta join me Bobsled team mun?

Top class comedy. :thumbsu: Great list by the way and it just goes to show that BF does produce some quality stuff.

Good list but Pavlich should definitely be in there. He is slightly down on previous years but he is still had a better year then at least half a dozen players on your list. Other then that I can't see any glaring ommissions. Good effort and a great read.

I only watched two complete games this weekend (Swans and Friday night) and I don't have time to watch the replays so I'm basing a lot of the movements this week on stuff I've read or been told.
I've moved Fisher down because I agree he was too high in comparison to other players. Judd is starting to fall, his 2nd half of the year isn't as good as his 1st half. Hardest part was 16th-23rd.
Not sure about Bock and Pavlich coming in. I'm certain with Selwood, he has had a very good season and I'd tip him for the B & F. Vince, Clark, Gibbs, J.Bolton and O'Brien were a few I tossed up.

What? You telling me he played well against St Kilda?

He didnt say that at all, but he did say Bock diserves to be higher than Fisher and easily be in the Top 50.

Are you saying you judged Bocks season on one game against St Kilda where according to your opinion played on the best player in the league.

Hopefully in my attempt at an unbias opinion Bock is the best CHB and one of the most important players structurally in the league.

Good list though

It's either Bock or Fisher as AA CHB, so I put Bock in this week and moved Fisher further down the list because I don't think there is much between them.

Bartel should have gone up by more than 3.. been superb the last month... Was brilliant on saturday again...
The movements aren't entirely based on recent form. For instance Chapman would have gone up the most if it was based on weekly form but he only went up 1 because overall I think Judd has still had a better season. Bartel has moved up the last two weeks but he hasn't been a top 25 player this year. Maybe he could have gone ahead of Drummond.

Just a small point of note, it's Brendon Goddard with an 'o' instead of an 'a' :thumbsu:

Aussie_Gun,

Aussie, Aussie, Aussie, Bock Choy, Bock Choy, Bock Choy?

Why don't you rate Nathan Bock?

He makes one of most difficult positions on the ground look the easiest. He consistently beats his opponent, regularly racks up 25 touches and provides rebound and run as good as anyone in the league. if it wasn't for his early season indiscretion he would be almost first selected for the All Australia team. I know stats aren't everything but he has at least 19 disposals in all but one of his 14 games. And again, all of this while generally beating his opponent...

I know Sam Gilbert has had a good year but how can he be above Bock? Fair go...

Generally a very good list. I'll submit my top 50 next week. Great thread.

%&*$ I hate Mike Sheehan

I do rate him. I have him in my AA squad and in the top 50 this year. I just don't rate him as highly as most Crows fans. I wouldn't say he consistently beats his opponent. I'd also say racking up the stats isn't that important in possession football. He has been, at worst, the number 2 CHB for the past few years so he is a very good footballer.

Yeh Bock deserves to be higher i reckon.

I also dont get why Gilbert is so high up at 24. Good player who has had a very good season, but surely 24 is too high, he hasnt been the 24th best player in the comp this year. Top 50 sure, but not top 25.

I think Gilbert is having an extremely good year. Probably 5ish spots too high but I rate him very highly.

I think Davey is a bit high with his recent form not being of the highest quality. Seems to be playing out of position.

Don't see how Gibbs isn't in there. Has been arguably better then Fevola and has been a lot more consistent. Hasn't had too many bad games with probably only 1 against Essendon and the other week against Sydney being played again out of position on Goodes.

A couple of definite BOG's and you'd say he's a bit more then unlucky...

Scott Thompson is probably a bit low also. Ultra consitent at a high level. There's some talent above so it'd be tough to get him out up higher.

I wouldn't have thought that Porplyzia would even be on the list. Don't he's been near his form last year with only a couple of really A grade games. Bock's been better then him...

Good list by the way. Shows the dominance of both the Cats and Saints this year. Most would of thought the Hawks would be crowding the best players but it shows how poor they've really been...

Early form was very good though. Overall he has had a good season.

I didn't rate Gibbs early in the season because he wasn't having a significant influence on games in my opinion. Too often taking the lateral option. I think his second half has been much better. Judd and Murphy were dominating early in the season but I think Gibbs is slowly catching up with his output.

AG you should have your thoughts on Bock as your signature. I've lost count of the times people have demaded you to explain your stance on him.
Haha, Bock is a good ordinary player.

Bryce Gibbs would have to feature after a BOG performance last night. Slowish start to the season but he's been very good of late. Would probably be outright third in our B&F at this stage.
Yeah, he has been very good recently and probably should find a spot on the list. Judd and Fev will probably move up but S.Johnson is set for a slide.

Gilbert can play on any sized player. He tackles like a machine and actually hurts the opposition with his possessions.

Bock on the other had can only play on talls. Most, if not all of his touches, are little chip kicks around the back-line.

I would say Bock is JUST ahead of Gilbert as a negating defender at the minute but Gilbo is gaining ground on him very, very quickly.

In terms of possessions, Gilbo has him covered in terms of setting up play from the back line.
