THE BIG SOUND WEST OF THE TOWN!
Well here we are the year is at an End

The year for the Swans has been one of mixed emotions

Up and Down games Wins and Losses

Injuries to key players but kids getting the time they needed

Scuffles and Punches and Goodbye to No.1

Debuts to 4 Exciting Kids 1st Kriso 2nd Brett Meredith 3rd Pyke and a star in the making No. 4 Dan Hannebery

1 point defeats and 5 point Victorys the games we win that make us so proud and losses that make you think "where to next"

2009 a time to say good bye but a time to say thank you for three men, without them a flag in 2005 would not be ours

2009 Trade Week, Draft and Pre season Draft time of a time new faces and fresh blood!

2010 The Year of Kids step up and become the players we know they are The Players the Media will have no idea what they have been missing

2010 Roo's last year as Coach a year he will make his

2010 Still Lead by a Great Leader in Kirk

2010 The Year of The Swan Begins Again

Soph, great summary. I just like to add White is going to be causing a lot of headaches for opposition defences next year. His agility and pace is going to make it very hard for the traditional fullbacks to play on him, and his size and leap will make it hard for the flankers to play on him too. He took so many easy marks tonight just because he was too quick for Henderson. He just needs to work on his kicking, and I know he can kick because he does it regularly in the reserves.

Love it Soph, a good way to put a smile on your face on an evening that didn't turn out so well! Your kids (or are they Roosy's?) are coming through nicely:thumbsu:

We will look back on this year in time but not as much for who has finnished up, but for those that have just begin. I am sure of it Ms Cross. And well done also to yourself and the other Swans fans who have shown so much passion in attending all the games that you do. Seniors and reserves:thumbsu:

It doesn't matter that you're young soph, the most important thing is that you're passionate about our club and more importantly, you're transferring that passion on to the next generation. I respect the fact that you're willing to commit to the reserves when they play nowhere near sydney, you're passionate about those guys, not only because of the beauty that you see in them, but the fact that you want them to succeed as footballers for our great club. Now that's sappy!:)

Today was a real downer. it was really sad to see all three going, but i feel particularly sad that MOL is going because he could have easily played another year on today's form.

next year's going to be very tough for us. we wont make the finals we might even end up just off the bottom 4. white and goodes are going to get isolated up forward next year without MOL.

kirk and jude will also be getting on as well. i just hope jack hanners and bird can find another gear and mcveigh doesn't get injured, theyll need to be execptional for any finals next year.

maybe i'm just feeling grumpy

your making me cry but thanks

Nick!

I'm just looking forward to knowing if he gets a higher number and putting it on the back of my jersey =)

'twill take a while to get rid of the look Micky O had on his face as he passed me.

Yup, definitely a season of mixed emotions. Haven't really been feeling into it this year because of life, work and other stuffs getting in the way of my footy enjoyment (boo!) but there's been a LOT to like about us in the last month or so! I loved the atmosphere at the SCG tonight (despite the loss), will try and post something more meaningful about the season later... after sleep.

Reckon he'll get 28 if they don't rest it.

Speaking of, awesome moment. I've never been Crouch's greatest fan, not for anything he's done, just because I haven't seen him play too much, but in the lap of honour, Leo gave us a high five but wandered on, and Mickey threw his shoes into the stand right next to us, but because we were taking pictures of them, Crouch came over, and despite the hurt he was feeling, pulled a funny face for my friend for her to take his picture. It was an amazing moment. So sad to see them go. :(

2009: The Year of Dissapointment

The Freo game, the Brisbane games, the second St Kilda game, and the second Geelong game all come immediately to mind as specific games that dissapointed me, and not making Finals caps it off. That my last game ended in a loss, the last time I'll see Roos, Mick, Crouchy, and Leo, and quite possibly Kirk - who's amazing mark followed by dodgy goal is still stuck in my mind as my last distinct memory of him on the field - had me all but in tears at the end of it.
