Yeah, I think I must have been looking at the Official Lists thread which had Thompson at just over $300k but that would have been last year's contract and not the minimum he could have been signed on for in a trade. I don't know how I screwed that up but I did.
Then when the trade was done I looked in the right place and saw the more expensive value of $525k. I saw that you'd edited the thread a couple of days earlier and incorrectly assumed that had been one of the updates because it was much higher than I'd thought.
I assumed this because of this post (as well as my earlier mistake)...
When I posted the trade I realised there was a chance I'd just screwed up so I accepted that I was probably looking at $525k. But I'm still a bit confused about the "invalid" bids.
Very happy that the trade gave me another early pick, 2 good players and a lot more salary space and would have done it even if I'd known Thompson's price
