Re: Round 3 Captain?

Stupid injuries :(

At least it happened now, before the league comp kicks in.
I don't have O'Keefe so the will be little in the way of trade dilemmas.

Re: Round 3 Captain?

I don't think anyone expected him to get injured.

He was a good pick as captain. You can't argue he wasn't a good pick as captain.

he scored 25pts for 1Q and a half...ive told u the reasons why he wasnt the best choice .but a champion he is and ur right i cant argue he wasnt a good pick as captain as it will mean roo is not a high scoring and game winning player but it wasnt the best environment for him

Re: Round 3 Captain?

Yea I know eh? I've listed 4% of players playing this weekend as captain options. How ridiculously indeterminate of me!

The top 7 and score predictions make for such a vague article.

Seriously dude? This is the 4th time you've posted to criticize YSCC; you seem to have something against us. What's the beef?

Not everyone has the same team mate. I've got to list more than a couple of options. And I think having ranked 1/2 of the captain options I listed counts as 'committing'.

Mark & FB Donkey do a great job over at YSCC so I don't think there is any reason to bag them, that being said I plumped for Gaz for security so hopefully he can make all the Roo captains pay!

Don't get me wrong, YSCC has some handy info on it. Just nothing more than what you find here.

Re: Round 3 captain?

I wish I had the balls to go Seaby...I still haven't totally discounted it. As unique as it gets for captain and he's up against less than nothing this week. Simmonds will be half dead by quarter-time with his current fitness compared to Seaby and Vickery more than likely doesn't stand a chance in the hitouts.

On top of that Thursfield is out, which is just the ultimate nightmare for Richmond coming up against Sydney's talls - Goodes, Bradshaw, White plus Grundy, Seaby and Mumford rotating through. If McGuane takes Bradshaw at FB, Moore will likely get Goodes, leaving Rance for White I guess, then Richmond is in deep strife about who to play on any other tall who floats down there.

We only have four other talls: Simmonds, Vickery, Post, Reiwoldt. Do we play with no ruckmen or no key forwards to cover one or two of the other three talls Sydney can throw forward?

If Seaby goes forward he'll have a serious mismatch or Simmonds and you'd think he'd be likely to add 2-3 more to his 2 goals from last week.

30 hitouts+ and a once a season chance of making them to advantage, 2-3 goals, plenty of ball running old man Simmonds ragged...136 from him last week...there's some merit in the madness. ;)

hrmmmmm

I bet you're thanking you're lucky stars you don't have balls. Or do you?

Re: Round 3 Captain?

Seaby wasn't too bad an option, i too thought he could back it up. No rucks played well this week thus far.

Nah thomas, I locked Ablett in for the season, but I did find Seaby and a couple of others tempting this week.

A while after I wrote that I noticed that Mumford was named as first ruck with Seaby on the bench, and while at the time I thought 'oh well, it's just a team sheet, doesn't reflect what might happen on Sat. night,' as it turns out Roos did actually play them like that.

Could be a helpful lead for next time perhaps...can sub Warnock in for Seaby. ;)

Re: Round 3 Captain?

I trade david hille out and next game he scores like 80, i trade seabby in, (the guy who scored 100's against saints and adelaide) scores ****ing 32. ****KKKKKKKKK RAGEEEEEE

That's why you don't make sideways trades like that. If you're going to trade, you should either go up or down.

Hille is a proven premium ruckman.

Seaby is a proven hack (sorta).

But its time to go..................... TIPPETT and Riewoldt

Round 4 Captain?

Don't think there's a thread on this...

Can't go past Ablett this round. Been posting some ridiculous numbers against Port in recent years and is in super form too.

I guess the likes of Bartel and Swan are also good options but nah, I learnt last week that it's never a good idea to take the big C off Gaz.
