Hookers coming back from an injury as well so I don't expect him to be in good form. Making Franklin VC is a risk vs reward scenario... but in this case, the risk is almost none given that you can just put Ablett captain if he does shit.

Exactly! if your gonna try these things this is the week to do it, still cant fully make up my mind between Hodge and Franklin though (leaning towards Franklin). On recent form you have to go Hodge but againnst the Dee's you gotta go Franklin. If this is the hardest decision i have to make this week, im a happy man.

Who should I make VC out of Judd, Barlow, Sandilands and Hodge??

I'll make Lewis Jetta captain and change it to Ablett should Jetta be selected next week.

I don't think you can, because you've got no non-playing bench players from next week's games. Maguire, Webberley, Shuey and Warnock's teams are all playing this week.

Here's one from left of field. How about Big Bad Bazza Hall as VC with them playing the hapless Weagles over there and no Glass to look after him. Only Mackenzie and Wilkes there to do the job. I've got Ablett and Goddard as fall back capt options should it not work but I would also be overlooking Hodge and Franklin as VC. Thoughts?

So how would I do this?

Replace him on the field with Cox say, and have Cox as an emergency?

If stanley does play, can I still modify my captain in week 2 (remove stanley as captain with another player playing in week 2?)

Firstly you need to make sure your VC is someone playing first week and your C is playing in the second week, the only chance you have of using the loophole is if either Stanley, Gysberts or Hitchcock dont play, but slim chances there, stanley is prob your best hope. You also need to make your emergency is a player playing in the second week (i.e. Stanley, Gysberts or hitchcock) because if you use players playing in the first week they will be locked in and non changable.

Basically use Hodge as your VC and Goddard/Ablett as you C.
- Put Gysberts, Hitchcock and Stanley as emergencies and hope one of them doesnt play.
- If Hodge kills it then put either Gysberts, Stanley or Hitchcock (which ever one doesnt play) on the field as captain and make sure whoever is benched for them is the new emergency to cover the 0.
- If hodge goes crap then just use Goddard or Ablett as captain, and its all good.

If i want to do it, i have to trade Seamus in, so this is the way i would do it

I then use my money from the Warnock to Seamus Mac trade to go Maguire to Gilbert, finishing my team

If Hodge rips it up, Seamus keeps the C, if not it goes to GAJ

Imagine if Seamus was picked due to Fraser's spudly effort last week

There would be a lot of pissed off Supercoaches!

Well i am in the exact same situation, in that i will be putting Seamus on the field for the captaincy.

Would be pissed if he's named! But at least i'll be able to still shift the C. Also, he's rookie listed anyway.

Looking at other posts, i might just go with Franklin actually. His record against the Bombers is really impressive and there is not a lot to lose i guess if he doesn't carve up.

That should be correct Ed, that unfortunately I couldn't do that as my entire bench is lined up for this week in SC

But I've done similar in DT

I am facing a donut in the backline unless Davis plays next week. Have made Hodge vice captain and if he tears it up can make Davis captain next week and get Hodges score doubled.

Well everybodies Hodge captain experiment was a fail, luckly we all dont have to cop a 62 thanks to this split round thing, if only i made him captain last week. Looks like the captaincy will be out of goddard and Ablett?

Put Franklin as VC then changed it back to Hodge a minute before lock out. Spewin, would have kept the Franklin score too. Karma i suppose.

Dylan McNeil will get the skippers arm band in my side .. Might give Chappy a rest on the bench, although he might be required if McNeil doesnt get up for the occasion ..
Lets just hope that Goddard, Ablett, Judd, Chapman all score low (even though I have all 4).. But then again so do 90% of supercoaches..
