Well lucky there's the split round this week... If it was just a normal everyday week I would have taken the punt and picked Hodge over Ablett... Phew.

Wish i had of stuck with Franklin instead of going back to Hodge at the last minute.

Would save me the headache of choosing between Goddard and Ablett for next week.

cmon ed, hardly a headache. a headache is those who selected hodge as captain and cant move now.

goddard or ablett - whatever - both consistent, both likely to score 100, both possible score 120, really only one can break 150, but not on current trend. im going goddard - cos i dont have ablett lol.

Just want to make sure I've got this double-chance captain thing correct. For me, it involves, Franklin, Hughes and Podsiadly...

• Franklin can’t move, as he’s scored points and is locked where he is.
• Therefore, I’ve substituted Podsiadly for Hughes (Melb).
• I’ve set Podsiadly as my emergency and made Hughes captain.
• I’ll then get the double points for Franklin (as Hughes will be a non-scoring captain) and Pods will score as my emergency?
• I just have to hope Hughes isn’t listed in the team, if so, captain goes back to Ablett or Goddard.

spot on, but is hughes is named as an emergency, then gets a last minute call up you could be up for double his score..... if he isnt named as a player or emergency for the match you will get buddy's score doubled.....

who should I give the C to this week, ablett or goddard?

the last time I took C of GAJ (first time ever) Roo went down....

I also can't decide between Gab and God? Last time i took the almight c of ablett he scored over 200 and i had a draw (yes a draw) with my opponent. Goddard looks so temping this week though...

Will be an interesting week.. and likely to be a big decision on me for Friday.

I have Franklin as VC

But.....

My only option for the VC double points is if Gysberts doesn't play, which I think is a reasonable chance because James McDonald will likely take his place if he is fit (which he is expected to).

However if McDonald does make it into the team and Gysberts gets named as an emergency, would you take the gamble?

I'm sitting at 2.4k overall, not a chance for the 50k but I'm still going for overall rankings... I have God, Garry, Swan, Mont, NDS all playing next weekend. but to get the extra 80+- points would be nice.

HIM (Hodge captain) 12/1202
Montagna, Dal Santo, Grundy, Chapman

I double dipped with Hodge so I'm basically a player up on him but he's had Hodge captain. We both have Ablett but I'm thinking of doing something different and captaining Selwood. For one, he don't have him. If I go Gaz, he gets half the points then I have to rely on Grundy to have a rubbish game.. Just wanna get some thoughts on this..

Looking ahead a little in round 14 we have a Thursday night game : Lions v Blues. Would hope they run with the partial lockout system again otherwise we might be in trouble with team selections.

We might be able to use 'Captain Double Dip' trick again, although only with guys from the Thursday game > Gibbs, Judd, Rockliff spring to mind.

Swan's scores in the past was when he was known as Swan...Now Swan is known as Super-Swan or Cyborg as Swan is a machine when it comes to football...ROFL....

I'm going Swan as captain as so many guys can potentially get 100+ in the Cats v Saints game, Chapman, Ablett, Selwood, PODS, Enright, Bartel, Montagna, Goddard, Dal Santo, Hayes, Gilbert etc etc.....Naturally, if you pick the right one that's not an issue..... don't let me sway you, but I'm going Swan (however about wary of Jack or Kirk might give Swan the tag)

On the GAJ vs Goddard debate...

The forecast for Friday is absolutely shithouse, pissing down with rain. This game is at the MCG not Etihad so this will affect all players. I would think GAJ would cope with the rain a little better than Goddard, but I could be wrong.

Anyone have opinions on who will cope better? This decision will pretty much make or break my league game.

LOL. I don't have Swan, but i'd probably back him as captain if i did for this week though. btw, Kirk will probably go to Pendlebury, Jack is an option to go head to head or Nick Smith perhaps to lock him down. But would probably see Smith on Didak or Leon Davis i guess, not sure.

I agree as if you look at Goddard's last 5 games where he has run riot his opponents were Freo, Rich, Ade, WCE, Ess

I feel like I'm cheating having a Cyborg in my team (Super-Swan) like in Star Trek

i think ill go swan then. my opponent is undefeated this year and I have a sniff this week. He has Ablett as capt, and i have options of Swan, Ablett, Goddard, Bartel. Going with Swan could really pay off.

I would love to make Hayes captain, but might stick to Super-Swan who will get 100 to 140..

Yes the wet weather does play a factor but I also have Ed'd worry about players taking points off of each other and like him I have 6 in that match (Goddard, Enright, Ablett, Monty, Selwood & Pods)

Since I couldn't do the VC trick other wise I would have banked Buddy's score I'm tossing up between Goddard, Ablett & Swan possibly even a roughy like Selwood if it is going to be as wet as they say.

Oh and does anyone know what Monty scores like against Geelong?

Am thinking Lenny Hayes to dominate in the wet tonight. Just have the feeling al lof a sudden. Am too scared to take it away from Ablett, though Hayes and Goddard are tempting.. Even Didak against my Swannies

Just changed from Ablett to Bartel. Bartel loves the wet weather and I am expecting a 150 game minimum.
