It's kinda like giving the new kid at school a buddy to help them settle in. We all select a Carlton player 'buddy', ODN gets their phone numbers for us, and we just hang out and stuff. It's supposed to help them realise what life is outside of football ie. it's not pissups all the time. Don't forget the tim tams, from previous experience they never fail to please.

Basically, somebody is appointed to provide regular discussion of each player on our list, on the Buddy Draft board. Whether that be discussing their game, their injury, news articles or whatever, we will get somebody saying something (usually positive) about each player during the season. Just provides current and relevant comment for others to read.

Of course anybody can participate in a player thread. It's just that the buddy commits to talking about the player even if nobody else is.
