just means 2nd round pick is 34 instead of anywhere between 35 & 40 if the other teams had used their compo picks (same for following picks)
How did you get a nsw kid on your picks at pick 70 in your selections i would have thought none were good enough although i have heard good things about duncan the one you put at pick 70Carlton will have picks 18, 34, 42, 68 and 71.
Small mercies.![]()
Isn't it funny, he mentioned to Hallahan's father as Mitch ground down his opponent, that he was really only using his left hand. "I thought it was quite strange. I wondered why he was doing it, and it turned out he'd hurt his right hand playing footy. It was actually dislocated. He didn't tell me and he stopped the bloke in the second round, the little bugger," said Catalucci. "He's got amazing dedication, Mitch, and he's tough. He won easily that day. It completely blew me away."
Both men agree on one final thing — he's tough. Before the season started, Hallahan injured an ankle at a training camp. It turned out he had chipped a bone in it, but he played through the season, through the national championships and into the finals before going in for an operation only a few weeks ago. "He just kept playing and you wouldn't have heard a word out of him about it," said Flanigan. "We managed his workload a fair bit and had him spending a bit more time in the forward line, but he didn't complain and he would never have wanted to stop playing. That's no surprise though, that's what Mitch is like. He's a very tough young kid and all he wants to do is play footy."

We might not win all of the games ... but I dare say we'd win all of the fights.Imagine Hallahan joining Joseph, Armfield, Robinson, Davies, Ellard and Cachia in about four years time![]()
Just creamed at Quigley's phantom draft where we end up with Lynch at 18 and Jacobs at our 40~ pick
we can dream!
Why does everyone want Hallahan?
It would be a damn shame if Hallahan had a Barry Hall type brain snap within striking distance of Dane Swan or Alan Didak.

Maybe the fact that he's tough, oozes leadership and is a bloody good footballer might have something to do with it.![]()
Every second Carlton supporter has Watson and Hallahan as their first and second pick, yet they wouldn't know them if they fell over them.Maybe the fact that he's tough, oozes leadership and is a bloody good footballer might have something to do with it.![]()

While this is true, it is not like Conca is chopped liver!
That's the point I was trying to make after I asked about Hallahan. You don't see even a little irony here???
