If it's true that Hallahan is slow, then our legspeed would take a hit with Hallahan and Mclean in the side.

Your assuming that Brock will get his body right. Sure maybe you wouldn't play both of them together, but how many inside mids of Hallahans quality are we currently developing on our list? Given Brocks ability to stay on park I would think it would be fool hardy to not have a guy like this on the list if he were available at a pick we deemed about right.

Simply being in the presence of Andy Collins will help Mclean get healthy.

I wouldn't want much more from pick 34, but it was a fair question if Hallahan is around at picks 24 to 34 because he's one paced and an inside player ATM.

I posted elsewhere that I wanted an inside player at this pick.

Especially if we go tall with pick 18.

Never said he was, infact I have Conca rated higher. All I was saying is that I can understand the love for Hallahan as he's a fantastic footballer. Nothing more, nothing less.:thumbsu:

Agreed. Should do well in the mornington peninsula league :)

That's the point I was trying to make after I asked about Hallahan.

Some just want Watson and Hallahan because of the group think that has taken off.

I didn't infer that I run Carlton's recruiting department inbetween completing a sports management course, running to the pub to chat up chicks and talking to budding AFL players from the Gold Coast.

Exactly, some supporters just read the papers and think that a player is the one we should be getting just because of a few youtube videos.

Its pretty sad how a few posters get wound up over a young blokes life.

I dont get the sig.

Who do you think we should get then?

I was only asking a question about Hallahan's football.

If we rate Watson and Hallahan, then I'll be happy to have them in navy blue.

Though I'm going to be naturally cautious about pumping up players who were drafted at 18 and 34.

The Carlton mods will need to put a sponge down if we draft Watson...

Hallahan might be the polar opposite to Houlihan, but with a similar sounding name.

*cue Mister Carlton*

Not a bad page that one.

Emma Quayle thinks Richmond are swinging between Polec and Tape for pick six.

That would really put the cat amongst the phantom drafters.

Quayle thinks the Cats might draft Smedts at 15, not Isaac Smith.

EQ is good, she;s doing a snapshot each day.. good read, quality journo IMO :thumbsu:

Sin, article is incorrect.

Patrick is not a soccer convert.

Who was the bloke saying I knew less the the writers :).

I think the writers should quit their jobs if they think linking a game like soccer to a player is interesting :p.

Can't quite understand the fascination with Andreoli...

or Sewell or Hartigan for that matter.

meh. It is all based on secondary evidence, I certainly would put more weight behind your opinion on these matter than mine. I just read reports/phantoms watch some videos and take guesses. Is more fun than just waiting

I'm not being critical, it is more a general observation about the D&T board as well. A lot of people seem to like him, for mine he is just a vanilla outside mid with ok but not tearaway speed and without any huge offensive weapon

I liked Hartigan last year and from all reports he had a pretty good year in the VFL shutting down some good players. So naturally I would show interest again.

I was quite shocked that he wasn't given a spot on either list TBH and cetainly think he is worth a rookie spot or a late ND selection.
