Try twice in three weeks.

Eagles going to play 23 games next year?

Have to laugh at how many people don't want to play Geelong at Skilled next year too. Bunch of chicken s**ts. :p
Ouch thats gotta hurt twice in 3 weeks, and i thought we were hard done by .

I would request the AFL to stop asking clubs what they would like in their fixture.

I would request the AFL fixture to be simply play every team in the first 15 rounds and then the first 7 again and then run the fixture concurrently for ever home and away.

The clubs should not be asked or have any say what so ever in where and when they would like to play.
You mean, like, a draw - as opposed to a FIXture.

Denied.

Start rocking up to matches, and when your club gets some decent H&A crowd figures, then you get to be on FTA more often.

I'm sorry if that's harsh, but you can't be serious when you say you want your team to be on TV by proxy.

Honestly, how do you think Carlton/collingwood/essendon get so many games shown? Its cause our members rock up to matches.
Melbourne supporters.
x2. Looking forward to our 20 Sunday twilight games this year.
Is that your excuse for never going?

that certainly wouldn't be good enough for a top club. Shame that you aren't and are going through your second rebuild in 7 years:rolleyes:
Back-to-back spoons.

Are they cancelling Anzac day next year? Does not matter who plays as long as 2 vic clubs play it. Big crowd no matter what. Hardly call 15-20 years a tradition.
Exactly.

For Richmond, I'd like no home games at Jihad, especially against clubs whose home ground it actually is (i.e. v St Kilda and Dogs last two years).

In my post here, I requested that Collingwood play Geelong twice during the H&A series, once at Skilled Stadium, and once at Etihad Stadium :thumbsu:

That doesn't make a lot of sense - if all the Melbourne fans turned up to a game, there wouldn't be any left to form a tv audience.

The reason the big clubs get FTA is because they have so many fans in front of tvs, as well as at the grounds.

Just one itty bitty request, any chance Port Adelaide can play us in Melbourne??

every game at the MCG starting Saturdays at 12.30 pm .

ooops hang on Collingwood have that spot tied up

No Sunday twilight
No Monday night
Majority of Friday nights and Saturday Arvo/night games ( get this anyway )
5 interstate matches
Play St kilda, Geelong, Carlton, Essendon, Hawthorn twice

As an old Fitzroy supporter, surely 10 Brisbane Lions games in Melbourne (and 12 in Brisbane) wouldn't be too much to ask?

Seriously though, it would be great if we could get 8 games in Melbourne a year (and not have to play multiple games in Perth or Adelaide; or play down at Geelong, or play Hawthorn in Tassie).

There are plenty of instances where some teams haven't played each other twice for a number of seasons. Let's get some of that backlog out of the way and at least make out as though there is a fraction of fairness in the whole fixturing system.

These teams haven't played each other twice in a season for at least four years and should be some of the first fixtures penciled in for 2010.

Adelaide v Sydney
Brisbane v Fremantle
Carlton v Geelong
Carlton v West Coast
Carlton v Western Bulldogs
Collingwood v Geelong
Essendon v Geelong
Essendon v Melbourne
Essendon v North Melbourne
Essendon v Port Adelaide
Fremantle v North Melbourne
Fremantle v Sydney.

Essendon - The week after their April Grand Final
Port at home, Freo at home, West Coast at home, Melbourne twice, Richmond twice, Brisbane at home, Kangaroos twice.

That gives us 11 wins, fill in the blanks.

Not sure about most of them, but I know that in 9 years we've played Essendon about that many times. That is absolutely wrong.

Nah. If the fixture is not going to be evened out over a 2 year period why bother to pretend there is some grand plan where everyone plays everyone the same amount of times?

For example, playing Carlton 2 years ago is not the same as playing Carlton now so why bother to make those that have not had them twice a year take them this time around.

Unfortunately Playing Richmond has not changed.

Fixture should be made up based on the previous years ladder with the blockbusters, derbies etc added to the mix.
