Re: The Monday Wrap (round 19)

Here's the playing options I got off TooSerious:
  • Xavier Clarke. Should be back this week. Injury prone but may score well if he gets a full game.
  • Robbie Hicks. Not sure of his job security but he's getting more games than McNeil. Since you've only got one trade, I'd look elsewhere.
  • Mitch Farmer. Won't get dropped.
  • Michael Osborne. Won't get dropped, probably better scores than Farmer.
  • Matthew Broadbent. Seems pretty solid, played last six rounds. May be a touch too expensive depending if you rounded your cash down to get $285k.
I'd go Osborne out of that lot if you can't afford Broadbent.

Cheers mate.... :thumbsu:

Have already been looking closely at those few. Line ball between Farmer & Osborne. Only deiffernce is one is back, the other is fwd.

My current MPP is as follows:

Backs:
Waite (Fwd), Hodge (Mid), Goddard (Mid), Gilbee (Mid), Davis (Fwd)

Mids:
Goodes (Fwd)

Fwds:
Boomer (Mid), Didak (Mid), Pav (Mid), Chapman (Mid), Moore (Back)

Thinking if I go with Farmer I have the option of bringing Hodge/Gilbee/Goddard into the mids if required. JS is VERY important here. $3k short of Broadbent.... ****....

Re: The Monday Wrap (Round 19)

Score: 2235

Overall Ranking: 21 209

Heroes: Goddard enright gram smith swan (c) cox didak o keefe brown riewoldt

Villains: Hodge pav pods were the low scorers who i expected more from

League status: won all 3 qualifyings

Injury concerns: hurn sandi, chapmans resting risk

Trades: none

Vent: Pretty happy overall, except pods and pav, expected it to be a pretty low scoring round with a lot of good teams meeting each other

Kudos: smith covering hurn, swan, your a gun, welcome back browny, and welcome back to my team since round 3 roo

Thoughts: week off

Re: The Monday Wrap (Round 19)

Thought I'd be clever and play Pods so ROK could cover my mids bench. Mid-season-slump/cash-earning-bargain-buying-period is definitively over though, I'm back in the top 500 for the first time since round 7 and averaging ~2300ppg over the last month, but I could be sitting 350th right now.

Re: The Monday Wrap (Round 19)

Score: 2165

Overall ranking: 3064 (from 3389)

Heroes: Goddard, Brown, Enright, Swan, ROK, Montagna, Riewoldt

Villains: Malceski, Pods, Bartel

League Status: Won elimination final against 8th. Facing 1st who lost their QF.

Injury concerns: Sandi, Bartel, Murphy

Trades: Ideally none so long as none of my premiums get rested.

Vent: None really although I need my Cats to play well this week.

Kudos: JB for bouncing back and rewarding my faith to keep you on the field.

Thoughts: Would like to try and get inside the top 3000 but like all of us, if injuries hit I could fall rapidly.

Re: The Monday Wrap (Round 19)

Score: 2222. Thank you Richie Benaud.

Overall ranking: 4,359 (up 1,118).

Heroes: Goddard (c), Swan, Enright, WaiteR, Riewoldt, Brown.

Villains: Hodge, Malceski, Pods, Pavlich.

League Status: Won all three qualifying finals from 4th, 1st and 3rd.

Injury concerns: Shuey, Sandilands. Hams is suspended, the rest are out for the year.

Trades: None unless someone comes out with an injury this year.

Vent: Overall not too bad. Up 1,000 places and three wins means I can't complain.

Kudos: Lions for winning and Goddard for not making me regret my faith in him. Swan this week though I think.

Thoughts: A week off in all leagues is nice, I'd hate to have one or two games depending on the leagues. From here it's just a matter of saving my one trade for as long as possible and hope my team fires to send me up the rankings.

Re: The Monday Wrap (Round 19)

Score: 2135

Overall ranking: 7983 (up 789)

Heroes: Goddard, Swan, Hayes, Riewoldt, Brown, Goodes, Smith (covering Waters)

Villains: Hodge, Malceski, O'Brien, Pavlich, Sylvia

League Status: Finished first, won on the weekend, week off...

Injury concerns: Sandilands

Trades: 2 left. Possibly dump Gysberts for Hicks before price rise as don't have any MPP.

Vent: Opponent this week was out of trades and had him covered. Yet still wanted to get rid of Brown or O'Keefe. Went O'Keefe to Sylvia and worried about it's future impact.

Kudos: Smith covering Waters, welcome back Johnno Brown - now keep it up.

Thoughts: Well done thus far, pat on the back! :)

Re: The Monday Wrap (Round 19)

Score: 2140

Overall ranking: 2835

Heroes: Goddard (c), Enright, Judd, Montagna, McIntosh, Brown, Riwoldt, O'Keefe

Villains: Hodge, Malceski, Gilbee, Conney, Rockcliff, Pavlich.

League Status: Won qualiflying final in my league with mates, lost my other 2 qualiflying finals though.

Injury concerns: Sandilands, Waters?(not sure why he didnt play)

Trades: Got 2 left, but will leave them until least next week.

Vent: only real vent is the fact i only had 1 reserve playing.

Kudos: Brown Riewoldt, McIntosh, Enright, O'Keefe for all final getting some good scores

Thoughts: Having the week off in the league im really only concerned about is good, just hope sandilands comes back this week.

Re: The Monday Wrap (Round 19)

Score: 2334

Overall ranking: 4305

Heroes: Goddard, Hayes, Boomer, Brown.

Villains: Pods 22, Pav 41, Webberley* 38 probably the only real disappointments.

League Status: Missed the finals in my own home league for the first time ever which still stings a little but get a week off in the minors :D

BF7 - won and into semis vs a bloke ranked 684 :thumbsd:

TS50 - won and into semis vs team ranked 569 :thumbsd:

Injury concerns: Hurn, Shuey, Clark (hand?), Silvagni.

Trades: 0 left

Last week went -
In: Broughton, Jolly
Out: Goodwin, Sandi

In hindsight Pods to Roo would've been more beneficial but had Pods scored 50 i'd have broken even and anything more to my benefit. Banking on Sandi missing this week again or Jolly will need to pull something out his ass to make the trade at least not a huge waste.

Vent: Pods and Pav what the.

Kudos: Browny winning goal nice. Maybe holding onto him will pay off. 3 rounds to see.

Thoughts: Running the risk with 3 rounds left and zero trades but happy to seeing my luck couldn't be any worse this year :o

Re: The Monday Wrap (Round 19)

Score: 2168

Overall ranking: 1212 (from 1328)

Heroes: Goddard, Waite, Enright, Swan, Joey, Judd, Cox, Goodes (C), ROK, Buddy, Brown

Villains: Malceski, Gilbee, Pavlich, Rockliff, Boyd, NDS

League Status: Lost 2 QF by 19 and 25, won another by 380 odd, so much for the week off.

Injury concerns: Sandilands

Trades: None thankfully

Vent: Going into the last game i need 200 from Boyd, Jordan Roughead and Gilbee, their combined averages was 250..... and they came in at 170ish..... Gilbee is one of those players every year i say i won't get and then somehow the bastard makes his way into my team. I keep telling myself just to look at his average and not his week to week scores.....

Kudos: Waite on debut for my team. Replaced my scoring bench player in farmer and was good for an extra 70 points.

Thoughts: Just a lot of finger crossing, would hate to bundled out of finals after having a reasonable year. Top 1000 is still on the cards.... Would be nice if everyone played an okay game. For the last few weeks it has been either hit or miss.

Injury concerns: Sandilands, lack of coverage on bench for mids

Thoughts: Glad I have got off Ablett as captain

Score: 2264

Overall ranking: 5724 (from 7797)

Heroes: Goddard (C), Enright, Hayes, Didak, ROK, Riewoldt, Goodes

Villains: Hodge, Gilbee, Pavlich, Naitanui

League Status: Won 2 Qualis and the Elim in my tough league

Injury concerns: Sandilands, Gumbleton, Gysberts (Need Rohan and Blair back too)

Trades: Will most likely upgrade Maguire to Grundy/Gilbert with my last trade. Won't be around for rds 21 and 22 so no point holding on.

Vent: Can't complain after winning all 3 finals. Hopefully Sandi comes back though and I would love Cox to get injured/rested and NicNat get more points as a result.

Kudos: Bringing in Didak for Rioli seems to have paid off. Enright and O'Keefe finding form. All my Saints for putting in a great performance, I thought their easy run home would justify 5 players from the one team.

Thoughts: Strijk's 117, does that mean I should put him on the field over Maguire? Should I still upgrade Maguire if Strijk is capable of those scores? Maybe I should upgrade NicNat instead even if there aren't many good rucks.

Villains: Malceski, Gilbee, Pavlich, Rockliff, Franklin, Kelly, Hall, Hodge

League Status: Lost both Perliminary finals

Injury concerns: none

Trades: None this week hopefully. Traded Sandilands for hill and upgraded Smith (WC) to James Kelly who promptly scored 35 points.

Vent: Saved my worst score for the year for the first final finished 4th in both leagues and lost both finals, how could so many players freakin score so freaking low. I have score 2400 plus with the same team

Kudos: Swan

Heroes: Goddard, Enright, Swan, Montagna, Mitchell, Gia, ROK, Brown, Waite, Roo

Villains: Malceski, Gilbee, Ball, Pavlich, Rockliff

League Status: Won 2 Qualifying Finals, lost 1

Injury concerns: Shuey, Sandi, Gilbee?, Brown, Waters

Trades: Maybe a cash grab for a final upgrade next week, 2 trades left

Vent: Damn you Gilbee, only brought you in this week  Picked Webberley instead of Strijk as an emergency (covered Waters)

Kudos: Welcome back Brown :thumbsu:

Thoughts: A few injury concerns but having the week off for 2 of my leagues will hopefully help. I'm a bit of an underdog in the league i'm concentrating on, but i knocked off the top team by 5 points so hopefully my luck keeps going :)

Re: The Monday Wrap (Round 19)

Score: 2260

Overall ranking: 669 (up 245 places)

Heroes: Swan (c), Goddard, Enright, Strijk!!, Pendles, Didak, ROK, Brown & Riewoldt.

Villains: Hodge, Malceski, Gilbee, Pavlich & Rockliff.

League Status: Won all three of my Quallies to get the week off.

Injury concerns: Sandilands (foot), Brown (knee), Gilbee (flu)

Trades: None this week. Two left and want to finish top 500, so I'm tempted to bring in my love-child Greg Broughton, probably save him for the GF though, depending on Prelim opponents.

Vent: Gilbee's sub-20 possessions, Pav's horror run (no goals = shit score), and bringing in Roo for Fyfe instead of the jPOD, which would've given more heaps more cash for my last two trades.

Kudos: Strijk you little gun!! :D:thumbsu: Browny, ROK & Enright for coming good. Roo for hitting his straps, and of course Captain Swanny!

Thoughts: A couple of worries with Sandi, Brown & Gilbee, which makes the Qualifying final win that much more important.

Vent: Malceski - you punish me all year with your average of 104 and now when I trade you in you score 35. Seriously, you got something against me? :thumbsd::thumbsd: especially when I got Roberton on the bench with 95

Thoughts: Malceski - all year you get your (1) cheap handball receives and (2) cheap kick-in to self...why not get these cheap possies now??

Re: The Monday Wrap (Round 19)

Score: 2025 My second worst score of the year

Overall ranking: 6,007

Heroes: Goddard, Swan, Brown, Riewoldt & Enright's return to form

Villains: Hodge, Malceski, Ladson (cover for Hurn), Tippett & Pavlich

League Status: Lost (BF Div 5), Won (Social) & Lost (Adelaide Div 1)

Injury concerns: Sandilands, Hurn, Higgins & Gilbee

Trades: None still have one left though

Vent: Why did everyone have to suck this week, Sandi being out was the topping giving me a donut.

Thoughts: Angry to be not only stagnating but slipping backwards in the rankings. I had finished top four in my leagues but am looking at straight sets defeats in BF Div 5 as I am up against Axe this week and he has a far superior side to mine. Hoping for a big return to form this week!
