The Kid has no faith in his own abilities it seems but then the ties, the ties!! Must not forget the ties. Funny thing is if he had just worked with the club and allowed us to get fair compensation then he would be wearing teal right now. Port obviously told him to play hard ball. That or his manager which was told by Port.

So who do we think this 3rd player from another club is?

Josh Hill is obvious but as a straight swap we'd be better off taking 33 and then using pick 63 for Hill.

Ebert 22 games including 1 final in 2011 - J Hill 1 game.

Maybe Maric from Melbourne? Small forward, been injured a bit, taken pick 21 in 2007?

Again Maric on his own isn't a great swap.

Who else could be in the calculations?

Lol that the Cats want him, you'd have rocks in your brain NOT to go to Geelong, we'll take Joel Selwood in exchange thanks :p

But then we have this tweet:

emmasq Emma Quayle
Brad Ebert knows zilch about an offer from Geelong. If there was a knock back it must have come from his manager. #tradeweek

She writes for The Age as the AFL Draft and Trade Week specialist.

But then we have this tweet:

She writes for The Age as the AFL Draft and Trade Week specialist.

Not to mention that in her book 'The Draft', Brad was one of the five featured kids and she would've spent considerable time talking to Brad and the Ebert family. She would've got her info straight from Brad Ebert.

I say f*** Port, f*** Ebert.

Trade Ebert to Geelong for #26 unless Adelaide tops that with pick #24.

Trade pick #63 for Josh Hill, or #45 if we're definitely not going to use it.

I'd be happy acquiring Hill, like someone said, he's the same type of player as Ebert positionally, but has the opposite qualities. All skill but too soft. Compared to tough but limited skills. He has much better potential and worst case scenario is we delist him in a couple years. But he's only 22 so theres a lot of improvement left in him. If we can get him by trading a pick we're not even going to use, I say why not?

Also, a separate idea...
Brisbane appear to want a draft pick and a KPF for Clark.
What about pick #23 + the out-of-favour Callum Wilson who's career at West Coast is over if Clark joins the club anyway.
Probably not enough but may top Freo's offer and we can throw in some more later if needed.

As always, I'm sick of these bloody trade week rumours.

We shouldn't be going after the players that other teams don't want. Where's the excitement in trading for someone who couldn't bust their way into a team that finished well below us this year?

We should (and very well could be) going after a big fish, and if we need that big fish we should be willing to give up a lot.

Just my 2 cents.

I say f*** Port, f*** Ebert.

Trade Ebert to Geelong for #26 unless Adelaide tops that with pick #24.

We can't do this, he needs to accept a contract at Geelong.

I am hoping that Adelaide give us pick 24 though, would prefer him to see him there than Port anyway.

O'Meara to Gold Coast for some ND picks

GC Get: Mini Draft Pick 1, ND Pick 31
GWS Get: ND Pick 4, ND Compensation first round pick

Signed, sealed, delivered, he's theirs
Great to see the mini draft being used by GWS to stock up on mature players
Why was this allowed but the 5 way trade not allowed?
