Pick 103 - James Gwilt

Had another damn good year in 2010, and stamped himself as a quality shutdown/rebounding defender for the Saints.:thumbsu: Has come a long way since that semi final against us way back in 2005.

pick 104 - Kane Cornes (PAP)

Very reliable and professional at this draft position. I was either going to draft him or Lawrence Angwin ...

Nice one Kristof. He's Rhys Palmer with the ball but he's still one of, if not the best tagger in the game. Perfect fit for your team at this point too.

Pick 105: Brent Stanton

My boy! Brent Stanton does not deserve to slip to pick 105. Actually if I was drafting on best available I probably would've taken him at 61, but I had a feeling I could leave it a bit later due to the unbelievably bad reputation he has on here.
A reputation of poor disposal can be contagious! Really, he's not a bad kick of the footy at all. He's a poor decision-maker at times and lacks some composure, but his skills, particularly from long-range are excellent.
If he wasn't already a steal at 105 on last year's form, he's having a career-best pre-season and is killing everyone on the track (16.2 beep test the other day). He's seeing less and less of the tag with the rise of Jobe Watson, and I think the arrival of James Hird will help him a lot. Based on his media work, Hirdy has a hell of a lot of faith in Stants, as do I.

So... are me and Kristof picking for rebel now?

I think so. And Stanton is no way near a steal at this pick, a soft, outside receiver is all he is.

I say you picking for Rebels team will save us a lot of time as you will always be on when his pick comes up. Maybe Kristof can PM you after his pick and then you make the final decision or something.

Edit - and Stanton is a pretty good pickup at this stage, although I'm not sure a good pre season will do much for him. He's always been able to run all day.

Stanton is quality at this point. He's outside, but he's hardly soft. Over his injuries, he'll kill it this year.

For Rebel - pick 106. Luke Ball, Col.

Either I'll PM Xz or he'll PM me. We'll keep it moving ...

I guess he is, but his last couple of years haven't impressed me. Thought he went alright early on, but has certainly dropped off in my mind.

It is a bit of a make or break year.

At this pick, I have gone for a local youngster who has a huge amount of potential, if only he can get his body right. If his body stands up for a solid preseason and 22 home and away games – he can become anything. Port Adelaide have a beauty with this kid but the only worry is his body standing up to AFL football.

This guy is one of the bigger w***ers I've ever met, but that is besides the point of this game....

Pick #108: Brent Harvey

Age is probably the only reason he's lasted this far, but I'm very happy that he's still here. There must be something about the surname "Harvey" that keeps you in your football prime until you're about 37 years of age. He's 33 this year but he showed no signs of showing down last year and I'm predicting another solid year for him.

Was just about to pick Harvey. :D

Pick 109 - Paul Duffield.

One of Freos mature age recruits who has had great success at AFL level. He can play the loose man in defense role and rack up plenty of disposals or play a shut down role.

Nick Malceski - Has been just a tad unlucky with injuries over his career but hopefully that is all behind him now. The good news is he is still relatively young and has time to make a name for himself as one of the top tier half backs of the comp, he certainly has the talent for it.

Daniel Giansiracusa - Gives me another avenue to goal plus has an awesome name.

Pick 112 - Travis Varcoe.

Improved last year and have no doubt he can do it again with more time in the midfield this year.

I think you mean Travis axel, Adam has been delisted.

Pick #113: Alipate Carlile

Need a FB to finish my spine and Carlile is the best available FB left (should've gone before Merrett IMO). He is still relatively young, has a load of potential and by the end of the year, he should be in the top 5 FB's in the competition.

Pick 114: Andrew MacKie

With a new coach in Chris Scott taking over from Bomber Thompson, MacKay will return to his All Australian best by running of the half back flank.
