The Norm Smith Medallist and 2011 Brownlow Medallist ihas always been perenially under-rated by fans. His inside work is ignored or forgotten because he doesn't have a typical inside build. And he makes it all look too easy, so he isn't perceived as a game-breaker. A very good 2nd round pick in tandem with Franklin imo.

I'll still take Reiwoldt and Selwood, thanks. ;)

Rebel Rebel has torn his dress while taking Marc Murphy with pick 18..... whose face is a mess. (compared to her anyway)

19th pick - Kurt Tippett

He can be used as either a power forward or as a ruck man. Kurt offers versatility as well as a very solid starting point to build a forward line around. At pick 19, he is a steal.

I feel Kurt could easily kick 75+ goals in season 2011.

Wow. Tough one.

I consider Pendlebury better than at least 3 of the mids taken so far. Chappy too, but Ablett leaving is a worry there, as is his age.

Mmmmm it's too hard to resist a 22 year old who has already proven himself to be an elite mid and is showing no signs of slowing, even if he does play for that scum.

Scotty Pendlebury thanks.
I rate Boyd higher than Pendlebury, but it's all personal opinion. I'd certainly rate Pendles over Griffen though, and maybe Cooney. Not to say he wasn't on my radar for my next pick though :(.

Yes! Steal!

Pick #20: Jimmy Bartel

Very happy with Bartel at #20. His 2010 wasn't as good as his previous years but he is still a gun and Geelong's second best pure midfielder behind Selwood (Chapman isn't a pure mid). A proven star mid.

Jon Brown - His injury history is concerning but happy to get him here.

Brian Lake - Best full back in the comp and I like the fact he can go forward and kick goals as well.

Pick 24 - Andrew Swallow

Another up coming star. Improved every year and with another pre season i think it could be his break out year in 2011. With the North starting to look like a finals team he could have some real impact if he gets some help in the midfield.

I'm a huge Cooney fan, when he gets going he is one of a rare breed that can singlehandedly change a game. If you could guarantee me his fitness I'd probably have him behind Ablett and Judd as far as midfielders go but given his history since his brownlow year he is a bit of a risk.

Pick #25: Mark LeCras

I was tossing up between LeCras and someone else for this pick but I decided I should go for a forward and LeCras is a quality one at that. He came third in the Coleman despite being small and playing for the bottom team, and won the Eagles B&F. He is also 24 years old or thereabouts so he is just hitting his prime. He can also play in the midfield as well which I like. The other person I considered will probably go within the next 3 picks.

From now on, anyone who uses the phrase "steal" will forfeit their next pick.

Okay, that might be a bit much, but c'mon ...

Haha, I got Swallow and Lecras damn cheap last year, nice to see others have cottoned on.;) And I was gunning for Frawley or Lake with either of my next 2 picks.:(

That is true, but watch some highlights of Boyd over the past 2 years. A goalkicking mid, who goes in hard and can get some cheap ball, what more do you want! Can also be a tackling machine at times.

Pick 26 - Matthew Scarlett

As much as some are trying to push Brian Lake as the premier defender in the AFL, Scarlett is still the number 1 man going around. He will be my full back and the other piece of the spine sandwich with Tippett. 2 gorillas at both ends of the ground will lead to long term sucess.
