Well I was close to selecting this guy with 17 so...

Pick 28: Paul Chapman

Too good a player to be here at 28 (steal ) despite being 29 now. He hasn't shown any signs of decline yet, improving just about every season to this stage, and is a clear top10 player of the comp IMO. I'll just be hoping that young Joel gets the hard tag most weeks so Chappy can continue his incredible consistency.

Edit: Breaking news from the XFC press conference: "I'm just xztatik to be drafted to such a fantastic club and to have the chance to play alongside two fellow superstars of the competition in Pendles and Buddy. I'd like to take this opportunity to put my hand up for the role of captain. I feel like I can be a great leader for this club... moving forward..."

I'm not going to say he is a steal, but I'm very happy to see him still available here. He is certainly still a better player than Jolly, and only behind Sandilands in the ruck stakes IMO. Will bounce back in 2011 after an under par 2010.

Cyril Rioli. An excitment machine that brings fans through the gates. A midfielder/forward with great skills and pace. Can potentially destroy a team in minutes. Great addition to any team

I'll be taking.... Travis Boak

After finishing 9th in the Brownlow last year, it is safe to say, this guy has arrived as a true AFL midfielder. The only guy on Port's list capable of winning a Brownlow one day IMO, as he has real star quality about him. Not hard to see why he was taken ahead of Selwood in the 2006 draft, even though Selwood has achieved so much in a short career.

Will compliment Matty Boyd very nicely in my midfield.
