2011 AFC Drafting Game

🥰 Love BigFooty? Join now for free.

Im sorry guys but i have just found out im going to be away for a week with no internet access:( I am willing to make a pick before sunday if i have to but it looks like im going to have to drop my team, hopefully this will not hold up things to much.
If it's just a week, that might only be 2-3 rounds
PM someone what position you're looking at in which round, and either give a shortlist of players for that position
or trust someone to make good decisions under your drafting stratergy

ps - if you go option 1, I'm happy to help
if you go option 2, it's probably smart that someone like XztatiK or BACCS takes over the team

I think its fairer if somebody else takes over the team because im on holidays and I may be away a bit longer or go away again. Please take care of my baby, i have the key positions sorted, if fevola does not play which is unlikly but it is a good sighn he is laying low and not in more trouble, Goodes and Roughead are my key forwards or Goodes can play in the midfield if Fevola plays.

I'd like to see a draft game where Kristof controls all 16 teams, all the while arguing with himself over which picks were rubbish.

Who's up?
WishinAintGettin who's online now so he shouldn't take too long.

No buts. :thumbsu:

He's a good choice for your team, I think having three experienced heads in your defense is one of your side's positives.
so there are more then 1 positive in my team? :)

#99 - Chris Knights
Yes I am going local again however he fills a need. He kicked 40+ goals in 2009 and was then injured for most of 2010. I'm banking on him getting back to his 2009 form and fitness on the HFF. He can run all day and also rotate through the midfield. Watch out for his goal kicking prowess from the 40-60 metre range.

#100 Jay Schulz
Well after bagging him in another thread on the bay, for the sake of team structure I am going to pick him as my CHF. He was Port's leading goal scorer last year and has been promoted to the leadership group - which usually spells game time. He is a good mark and will be the major focus in attack now that Tredders has retired. Will be looking for a 45+ season from him.

Now lets go the medium sized rebounding defender
and the one I thought WishinAintGettin was never going to touch so left him to grap Maxwell last pick

move Knights to the other flank
trying to get a goal from that flank with a left footer is gonna be a bitch

I don't think I've said anyone's picks were rubbish, but I COULD argue with myself for hours ...

You mean because you could've had Jamar at 57 and everything? Yeah I noticed that :D

And Jay Schulz? Real?

LOL! Yeah! He kicked 33 goals last year from 15 games. With Tredders gone and Schulz now the primary target he should bag at least 40. Not a popular choice but it fills the hole i have adopted. Has a better goal average per game than Mooney, Kennedy, Cloke ;) (and Goodes ;);)).

I was heading out the door getting grief from my wife when I posted my picks - I'll play around with my setup as we go along.

At least then the "THAT'S THE EXACT PLAYER I WOULD HAVE PICKED UP WITH THE NEXT PICK!!!" comment that gets made after almost every single selection would be truthful ;)

not really

if 1 team gets talent like Pavlich, Bock and Rutten early, while another gets Cooney, Griffen and Rioli

then it'd be obvious that the 1st team would target a midfielder, while the 2nd team would target the taller players

though, if Kristof was drafting based on talent then it'd be true, but if it was on needs, then it'd almost never happen

anyway, Kristof, we'll do 2 next year, 1 just for you, 1 for everyone :D:p;)

Pick 102 Brady Rawlings

Had a ripping year average 28 dispossal out of the back line hopefully he can do it again.
