I like the night schedule. You know for sure Channel 7 would've pushed Henin/Kuznetsova hard for the womens slot, but considering both Venus & Petkovic are coming off injuries, it seems TA got the last word. Good.

Really impressed with Jovanovski, she's gonna be overtaking JJ and possibly Ana soon unless both start picking it up.

Anyone else seen this video of McEnroe and Tomic's Dad? Is that his real Dad? Either way it's pretty funny

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n0yU5Rfcdyg

Pretty sure that's his dad, and that's just a parity on all the bad press Tomic and his Dad have been getting.

After all, if you ever stopped J-Mac doing something like that, the first 2 words out of his mouth would probably be "**** off", so I think that points to that being a joke piece basically.

That and the fact it is actually endorsed by Nike.:)

Good match developing on SC3 between Stepanek and Isner, Isner broke in the last game of the second set to take the set and level the match, hopefully he can get on top and beating Stepanek in 4 sets.

I went today, had centre court tickets. Basically the best thing that happened was the Clijsters/Woodbridge text message thing, but I still enjoyed myself. Molik showed glimpses of her old self for the first 2 games of the match and then went home. Then they moved a womens' doubles match to RLA which was also a bit of a whitewash so we left. All in all still had a pretty decent day.

Saw Zvonareva hitting up as well, there were about 30 people or so waiting for her autograph and she didn't sign one. Completely ignored everyone went to the other side of the gate and left. Its not as though there were heaps of people there that there would've been a problem...

can you but Hisense arena tickets at the gate or do you have to buy online or at a outlet?

And can you buy ground pass tickets at the gate also?

Thanks as its properly been answered a 100 times

whether he likes it or not. tomic will be playing on saturday night.

I hope he doesn't, but no doubt he will.

Roddick's Tweet:

"why is channel 7 showing a womens match that australianopen.org says has already been completed when there is live tennis all around?

- Andy Roddick at 11:57:23 pm ET Jan 19th. "

Stupid channel 7, embarrassing programming. Could be showing the Tsonga match or even Cilic.

Quote the source so others can follow A-Rod.

You can buy both Hisesne arena tickets as well as ground passes at the gate. There are ticket booths at the front of Rod Laver Arena, on the side of Hisense Arena and at the back of Garden Square where the tram goes along.

You will be able to buy a Hisense Arena ticket unless it is sold out. This might happen on the Saturday, as there is always a massive crowd on the Saturday.

Question RE: Aus Open.

Got tickets for tomorrow night at Rod Laver Arena. Can I go in to the Australian Open and watch for a bit then walk out and give the ticket to someone else so they can then go in and then I can go back in later?

So, I'm meaning, 2 tickets between 4 people.

Bit disappointed with both the night matches on RLA tomorrow night. $104 a ticket to see Monfils and Williams doesn't seem fair. :(

Nalbandian getting smashed 6-4 4-0
He doesn't have the will to recover from the epic, he was quite satisfied with beating Hewitt, probably happy to move on now.

Berankis is a young gun also though, will be top 20 in the world before long.

when hewitt was 20 he was #1 and had won the us open.
although tomics only 18 i doubt he'll ever get to number 1 in the world

When Hewitt was 18 and three months (Tomic's current age), he'd been to 4 slams and exited 3 of them in the 1st round.

Have some patience.

Hewitt really should of consolidated more of those break points he'd have to be pretty down on himself after that.

Stosur didn't look that impressive tonight, but hey, she still won in straight sets, and with some of the top players already going to 3 (Henin, Zvonerava) any straight sets win is a bonus.

Next up for Sam is Kvitova, who beat Chakvetadze in straight sets today.

Her first real test should come in the 4th round though against Peer.

Now for JDP vs Baghdatis, I hope Del Petro hits some form, he could make this one hell of a tournament if he gets going.
