117 ? You'd want your captain to be scoring 130+. Swan Judd or Goddard would have to be the 3 everyone is tossing up between.

Not really.

I'm worried about how McKenna is going to go about it.

He's got a list of young players who are going to lose more than 3 quarters of their games this year. He will most likely want his kids to tag the likes of Gibbs (who is always in the right spot) to teach them the game and where to go to be effective.

Maybe. It's just a complete unknown really. Were not sure how the GC will play. I am guessing huge scores for Carlton player but i'm not taking the risk

I'm going Swann as he killed last week and there is no reason he won't do it again this week. The safe bet which is what you want as captain!

I'd be looking for more than 117 out of my captain.

Swan and Goddard average around 130 each. Last year Franklin only broke 130 three times. He scored below 100 eight times.

He could go out and get you 150 this week, who knows, but he could just as easily pull out a 70 by giving away free kicks and 50 metre penalties. He's in my team, but not captain material just yet. Good luck, anyway. Hope you prove me wrong.

Murphy and Goddard are the two I am really considering. Thoughts on who I should go? Can't be worse than Selwood last week (he was on track for 120+ though.....)

I'll be back here to report whether i had a win or a loss, I had Goddard as captain and have done a backflip I changed to Dane Swan, really could I loose?

Think I'm set on Montagna now although I allow myself the right to change back to Swan from now up to 5 seconds before lockout.

I'm going Goddard. Up until this year, my number one rule in Supercoach has always been Ablett as captain. This year I'm gonna try it out on Goddard. Cos you just KNOW as soon as you swap to someone else, he'll score 190.

It's an interesting week really...

- Judd in his 200th against a young & inexperienced GC & Gibbs likewise (less the milestone that is)
- Sandilands against the Geelong ruck is ominous
- So is big Cox going up against Port (who looked woeful last week)
- Goddard & Roo should be able to lift against a developing Richmond
- Buddy is bound to be up and down a touch, he was down last week, does that mean he'll be up & firing this week?

But at the end of the day it comes down to one point....

- Swan plays for the reigning premiers... Who this week are facing an injury ravaged Kangas... Captain sorted.

Swan - near untaggable, has ball on a string, and looks as if he may have become a bit more damaging with his disposal over the offseason.
