Crowd averages were always going to go down this year, and they will, next as well, with the new and lower supported teams.
Brisbane Lions are about as low as they can get, and SA teams are as well, swings and round a bouts really.
I dont now whether we will ever see 2010 crowd averages repeated.
They'll get back there eventually. Crowds would be a lot closer if it wasn't for terrible Sydney weather and flooding in Queensland which made going to the footy the least of peoples concerns.
But we're seeing a shift to a new benchmark, with new teams coming in, so there is limited value comparing crowds to the last few years. Crowds should remain fairly solid given that the largest Victorian clubs are at, or around, the top of the ladder.
