Its at the Royal Sydney Golf Course which is basically well all the members live in the eastern suburbs ( Vaucluse, Rose Bay Double Bay Woolarah) expensive on the water, and they never get to see any Tennis because Homebush is to far away for them and Federer never plays the Sydney event and even if he did theyd never go so basically just for them to see some of Federer and the others really and its a good court on grass.
The location was set before anyone knew Federer would be playing.

Sorry but the commentary was terrible for that Hewitt match. Newcs pretty much cheering every point Llyeton won and you could hear him tutting everytime Fed won a point. I suppose it just shows how lucky we are with Foxtel's coverage. A grade commentators for both genders, none of this bias crap, well maybe a bit for Slammin' Sam the other day.

Just watching the matches now but defiantely take 1-1 after the first day obivously, curious to see how Lleyton got a set off Roger.

Nothing wrong the venue though, as you said one of the premier grass court venue in the country, just much easier to make a makeshift stadium rather put in a grass court somewhere.
Can't find attendances archived anywhere on the web but Sydney Olympic Park and White City tend to average 6-7,000 a day for World Group DC ties. Kooyong doesn't get anywhere near that.
What about Rod Laver?
He's pissed off that Sydney don't have a GS and never will have one, when Melbourne gets the world's best players. Every. Single. Year.
