The guy im playing has just tried to pick the cheapest rookies I think. Has 4 collingwood players, and none of his emergencies have played this year. He is ranked 150,000th, so I think im pretty safe..

wasnt there a loophole a few years back where you could not complete your team after initial sign up and then just pick your squad in rnd 7 or whenever when you know who all the high scoring cheapies are etc etc? guys were winning the weekly round score using this method..
Yeah I think there was. and you could make unlimited changes and still get the cash added to your cap.
So you could get Liber into your side at beginning and when you click remove 225k or whatever gets added to your cap. As long as you never selected 33 (30 in past) players you could make unlimited changes and pick 29 players that were guaranteed to go up and have all guns by round 8/9.

How can I be ranked 28,181 and be playing someone ranked 173,921, when my brother is ranked 48,140 and playing someone 235,236?
I thought the format meant the higher you were the lower your opponent?

Its based on your weekly ranking, not overall
That is the weekly rankings - that's why i'm confused!?
It's just split into 2 halves. The top half plays the bottom half so if your in the top 130k you play someone from the bottom 130k. They could be ranked 130,001 or 260,000 its just luck who you get. There is no advantage of being higher in the top half of the ranking.

Seriously? You'll beat him by at least 150 pts.
As for my opponent, he didn't change his team from last week and still has many of his guns on the bench. He probably won't even hit 1500.
