Won comfortably, opponent hadnt touched his team since the geel, fre, haw teams had their bye. Unfortunately had a poor round and finished ~38000 this week so will no doubt get a good matchup for round 9

but with watson injured and GC bye it looks unlikely i will score well

Are eliminator seedings done exactly right? eg no.1 ranked round 7 team v 64thousandish team or is it just top half teams v bottom half teams random selection?

it's random unfortunately. each week the remaining participants gets split in half, this coming round 9 we have 64,000 left. Split that into half which is 32k on each side of the ledger.

#1 highest score of round 8 could be playing #32001 or #64000. It's just random.

I wish they would release the whole fixture the day before Eliminator round 1 started, then we would know our matchup as soon as it reopens on a Sunday night.

They have the full fixture when there is 64 left, wish they had it from the start.

Round 9 Matchups are out on the website. Think i'm gone this week.

MIDFIELDERS - Swan, Bartell, Judd, Mitchell, Conca, Liberatore (Harris, Atley, Irons)

RUCKS - Sanidlands, Warnock (Z.Smith, Derickx)

FORWARDS - Fyfe, Pavlich, Goodes, Dawes, Boomer Harvey, N. Riewoldt, Darling (Tapscott, Matera, Krakouer)

Madisons Marvels
Round 8 : 1,853
Overall Ranking : 37,254
Average Points Per Round : 1898.88

DEFENDERS - Deledio, Heppell, Enright, Goddard, Gram, Pratt, Duigan (Puopolo, Lower, Buckley)

MIDFIELDERS - Pendlebury, Martin, Scott Thompson, Joel Selwood, Mitch Duncan, Hibberd (D.Swallow, Mzungu, Curnow)

RUCKS - Cox, Sandilands (Z.Smith, M.Bailey)

FORWARDS - Sylvia, Fyfe, Pavlich, Goodes, Yarran, Tapscott, I.Smith (Matera, S.McKernan, Cam Richardson)

Players in BOLD are players we SHOULD have different in our starting lineups. I know I have a much better Ruck combination. In the midfields, all players SHOULD get 100+ except both of our 6th Midfielder, so that will come down to those 2 players and what they score.

We both have the same sort of Forwardline with 2 players who usually get 70-95 each week so that section will come down to what they both score on our teams.

He is ahead of me in the defence by a fair bit on round averages. That is where he may defeat me this weekend. I just hope Enright, Gram & Pratt can play out of their skins this week, I have faith but all 3 have 2 weeks to prove to me why I should not trade them. If they all score 85+ the next 2 weeks I will keep them.

Barring a minor miracle (and I will pray for this during the week may I add !) I do not think I will progress pass the 3rd round in Eliminator.

Since Eliminator has been going, I have never gone past the 3rd round, having always got to the 3rd round also, so that in itself is very dissapointing.

Just wish I was playing this person next week, as I would have Ablett in my midfield and Mitch Duncan in my forwards from the midfield to replace Cam Richardson (richardson will be replaced by Ian callinan next week and then moved to the midfield)

My first two matches were tough, only managed to win both by about 50pts with a 2K average. My next opponent has an average of 1,263 !
how the hell did they manage to scrape into Round 3. not complaining :D

Got a seemingly difficulty opponent this week, but on 2nd look, he's got Watson and 3 GCS players out from his mids, Zac Smith out in his rucks (so he'll have either Vickery or Hale vs my Sandilands, as we both have Cox... well, we're both blokes aren't we?), possibly Higgins out in the fwds, while most of our prems are the same (Deledio, Gibbs, Goddard, Swan, Goodes, Sylvia... who I'm trading in this week, Cox, Pavlich) and we both have Heppell, Darling, Lower, Buckley, McKernan.

I can see his only leg up is Shaw down back, and SJ/JVoldt up front, however my counter is Adcock/Enright back, Franklin/Fyfe/NVoldt up front...

So reasonably confident, even if he trades Watson out to someone else, that I'll be winning this one. Although, this is DT and often will give you the worst result when you can least afford it.

The red team should win comfortably.
Hurley wont play either

Hale is out for up to 6 weeks fortunately for you. Whilst Vickery play for Tigers, Essendon will smash them this week.

Looks like I got lucky. In bottom half of draw and got someone who scored 1950 last round but averages 1775 - 'Hammertime'. They have a fair few uniques which if they go well could get him the win but otherwise I am reasonably confident. I feared I'd get a team I'd be virtually incapable of beating this week.

What do you think?

Him v Me

Adcock v Scotland
Suckling v Deledio
R.Murphy v Goddard
Jamison v Duffield

Watson (Atley) v Pendlebury
Pavlich v Boyd
Van Berlo v Selwood
Burgoyne v Jacobs
Kerr v Bewick

Johnson v Harvey
Rioli (Tapscott) v N.Riewoldt
Dawes v J.Riewoldt
Maynev Cloke
Krakouer v Knights
Darling v Petrie

I am taking into account the trades I will probably do this week (Selwood + Cloke) and assuming they do none, but I think I have the upper hand.
