What makes people think that anyone has an ounce of interest in your "me" versus "him" scenario ?

Personally I don't mind - gives me a look at who everyone has in their line-ups. As for who I think is going to win doesn't interest me because tbh there are so many factors each week that some guy in spot 100,000 could knock off that bloke in the top 10,000 that I think it's a waste of time worrying about it.

Obviously a pretty strong team, the only weaknesses I can see are midfield depth with Rockliff out and the last 4 fwds are weak. I'd expect he'll use Duigan or Stanley to downgrade and use the cash to either get another premium mid or a better 7th fwd.

Definitely the best team I've played this year and I'll have to trade aggressively but hopefully I should get home in a tight one.

Ranked at 22K, I'm ranked inside the top 500, but his team is crazily similar to mine. Only 6-7 starters different (before trades).

Another tough one, i'm ranked 3k, he's ranked 12k. He had Broughton, Suckling and SJ last week so his score was somewhat inflated and i had a whole bunch of underperformers so we'd probably both feel a little hard done by.

Another tough one this week, my oponent is ranked 12688 but has a solid side. Could depend on the upgrades for this week, I will be making 2 in the mids to get 6 prems so could swing it my way as his midfield is currently Swan, Selwood, Shiels, Higgins, Swallow, Liberatore (Harris, Hibberd, Mzungu), have a slight advantage in the backs and forwards as well but not a lot in it.

My opponent has scored 95 more points than me for the year, yet is 2900 spots above me in the overall rankings! Shows how close it is this year! My eliminator ranking is 3371 (scored 2103 last week), his is 14902. His side is vastly different to mine, which is good as it will make for an exciting match! It looks like I've been making more effective trades, and have a better side.

I am pretty excited with how I am going in eliminator. Ranked 42,396 and yet am in the round of 16,000. also got a good opponent. overal ranking is lower than me

Yes myself and 8 mates considered foregoing overall ranking this year and starting our league in round 3. That way we could have a crack at eliminator by getting all the good rookies after they had played 1 or 2. However, with the league matches starting round 1 this year we didn't do it.

As long as you don't do a second team for post round 1 I don't see an issue with this.

Both have Selwood (C) and Boyd (VC). They have L.Thompson, Mzungu and T.Lynch as emergencies compared to my Puopolo, Iles, Prestia. I wanted to play Puopolo over Jacobs this week but got home with about 30 seconds to lockout and just missed my chance to change it when I really was pretty sure on that by about Wednesday. If that costs me my eliminator I will be very very mad but otherwise looking forward to a real contest.

Unless my team steps up and plays above their potential i will lose this week so hopefully it can happen.

EDIT: Just a sidepoint, I really envy their midfield. Swan, Boyd, Pendlebury, Selwood, Murphy, Mundy. What a group of guns. I am really hoping that Thomas/Logan/Cornes goes to Murphy and Mundy has an off week.
