2011 Membership count

I know I'll get shot down, but I dont really care.

Where is the incentive for interstate supporters to renew their memberships this year?

I have been a member for 16 years straight and for the first time I'm considering not renewing this season. The cost although nothing compared to what Victorians would pay but this season an interstate 5 membership is $124.

With a family of 5 living in Perth, what benefits do I get to renew in season 2011? I'm starting to think I'd rather spend the $124 at the tiger den.

I understand if your Victorian, you get to see our club almost every second weekend, but for me, we play in Perth once this season in round 20 yet I get an invitation to a cocktail party in Melbourne???? Hows that logical? Why does our club even bother offering interstate memberships?

Anyway fire away, tell me how much of a bad supporter I am.

To me, it seems that it's difficult to cater for all interstate members fairly with the same package, due to the size of our country. For a NSW, Tassy or SA member, it's a whole lot more feasible to consider going to a couple of Melbourne matches, and maybe even a cocktail party. But for WA, FNQ, etc members travelling to Melbourne is a tough gig.

With your mention of the Tiger Den, I wonder if there could be an option for interstate members to, say, take a voucher from the Tiger Den rather than the cocktail party invite, or in place of seeing matches... or something like that.

Probably right Dea_Day, I live in Sydney and go to about 3 games a year (one here, two in Melbourne).

Thing about spending the same money at the Tiger Den though, is that half that money would go to the manufacturer, whereas the membership money goes 100% to the club.

Yeah, would have to be a lowish value voucher, was just an idea. No doubt someone can probably think of something better :)

But maybe two interstate membership options need to be made available - one for those who attend 4-5 games, and one for those that can only see one or two, but get some kind of other benefit.

You go back to your soccer then and when we are coming good I'm sure you'll open your purse

I'm a 12 year member and have already paid up, along with the rest of my family and my 4 closest friends.

So stfu before trying to start a code war.

I buy my membership wich is 16 games and reserve seats my two sons memberships wich are 11 home games with reserve seats and my grandsons membership with 11 home games and i am happy to announce one of my best freinds and his son are now joining for 2011 all home games with reserved seats :thumbsu:

Hi guys slightly off topic however its outside of business hours so i'll give it a shot. My brother and I just recently bought 2 memberships (new members) however there was no opportunity to choose the reserved seating nor are the memberships listed under the manage my membership tab in my ticketmaster account. Is this normal or should I be contacting their customer service. Thanks

The club was doing 3 game memberships last season, maybe contact the club and see how you go??

As your new members the club will allocate you seats once exsisting seat holders have had a chance to re-new. As for the Ticketmaster account, you'll need to add them once you recieve your card.

stupid questions get stupid answers

Shouldn't you be drawing up gameplans with your crayons to send homthe coach like you did with Wallace?

You're the one obsessing over how many members we have each day and saying how we should have 46,000 by opening bounce, yet you call me stupid.

I just wanted to know what you were going to do about it if we don't achieve that number. See what you have obviously failed to realise is that renewals have been sent out recently, so the reason we're averaging 300 members a day is due to everyone sending their forms back and the club processing them. Once the surge of renewals dies down, we're going to stall until after the season begins and those bandwagon supporters wait and see if we're actually winning before they join up. Because of this, by round 1 I expect to see a figure between 30-35,000 members.

Nah, happy with the interstate as I get to attend a game at the SCG (live about a 15 min walk from the stadium) and see some games in Vic. Personally think about it more as supporting the club than anything else, which is why I buy memberships for my nephew and niece (also hoping to brainwash them from a young age).

We'll smash 35,000 by Round 1. The sales rate is usually pretty constant until Round 1. We started earlier this year and the rate is higher than usual. We're on record pace and ahead of 2009 sales

Don't understand all the hate towards MT2006 he is clearly showing enthusiasm and passion about his club yet he is getting shot down for being optimistic.

I for one congratulate my friend on being so optimistic and clearly showing a passion for the growth of the RFC.:thumbsu:
