Give an extra .5 seconds for the Vikings D-Line to get to you? Good luck Tebow, easily Vikings all the way.

(Of course I will check Vikings injury list before locking in my tips).

I'd love to see Jared Allen get fired up and tearing into the Broncos backfield.

Then we'd see if God is really on Tebow's side. :)

Not sure I'd be so confident gg of a Vikings win. They still need to score and the Broncos D has been playing well. It's them winning games not TT.

I think it will be close, but I can't see the Vikings putting up points on that D. Turnovers and a short field might help if the Vikings D can force it, but I'm not optimistic.

I've been greatly impressed by Christian Ponder. And he's got a good rapport with Harvin, plus is showing good downfield throwing ability, plus he can scramble very well himself a la Tebow.

The Vikings D and Broncos D are both very good. Both offenses sputter. So it'll be a good close thrilling defensive game with some big offensive plays.

Confidence?...well i do currently have the Vikings like 5 or so CR, so im not overly confident. I don't think anyone could be genuinely 10+ confident either tipping the Broncos or Vikings. It's one of those games that could go either way on paper and on the field. But in terms of having to pick a team I'm about 6CR confident of it being a Vikings win.

Vikings will beat Broncos, don't worry about that.

Can't see the Vikings scoring a hell of a lot tomorrow with no Peterson and possibly Harvin who didnt train on Friday. This will keep Denver in the game and we all know what happens in the last qtr of Denver games haha

Unloaded on Atlanta, NY Jets and Green Bay at -6.0 which is ridiculous. Thanks Vegas :thumbsu:

Yep, their D doesn't get enough credit. Miller has been great, that tackle for a loss in OT is worth watching again, and Dumervil has really stepped up last few weeks.

BTW, i thought Tebow threw well last week, one of his better performances.

Actually, the pre-season hype for the Eagles is massively overstated. We werent even close to being superbowl favourites.

We obviously got attention we didnt deserve based upon our free agency strategy, and Vince Young's stupidity. Lets not conflate that with us being overwhelming lay downs for the Lombardi.

Sorry, Primetime, about your money, Giants will beat Packers.

Didn't i hear that when i backed Philly against the Giants? :D

There is no way NYG get close to the Packers. I know Hawk and Bishop are out. The Giants cant get to the QB atm so if Rodgers has that much time to throw well its going to be messy.

Isn't that true over everything in the NFC East though? Both good and bad.

That's not a dig on the teams either. It's a dig at the networks wanting ratings in the big markets.

Same is true of players out of college. Play for a team that gets good national exposure and everything you do will be blown out of all proportion.

Philly get the attention they do in large part due to the local fan base and media. Talk about over-reactors.

my upsets for the week...

seahawks (right), colts, giants, browns, bengals, vikings, jaguars.

don't expect them all to happen, but i think those will be the games where the upsets will come from.

I'm surprised you don't have the Lions in that list gg.

Saints often lose on the back of a shellacking (see Rams game). Our D is porous at the best of times but even more so when the O is playing well. The Lions are capable of matching us in a shootout, so if their D plays well and keeps our O in check, this is a game we could lose. Monday night let downs are common too (although having the game moved to Sunday night probably lessons that).

Must say I'm concerned on this one.

Yep. Giants are done and the players know it.

Packers will win this by at least 2-3 TD's.

Btw, i know this may rattle the hornet's nest, but the Eagles were definitely hyped by the media, analysts, and the eagle's players/coaches/gms in the pre-season as being super bowl bound.

Asomugha signed with them specifically thinking they'd be super bowl bound. Their DC or LB coach talked of the LBs saying that come super bowl they'll be playing at their best. Reid was allowed to go on a dream team spree because the owner and gm went all-out in the belief that a super bowl birth was expected, there were mentions by players of how the Heat started slowly but eventually went all the way, so the eagles likewise, etc, etc. During the first half of the season, PFT had plenty of quotes from Eagles players/coaches that showed they already believed they were destined simply because they had the cattle. And thus likewise 'most' of their fanbase.

Saints are going to absolutely annihilate the Lions. The Lions are done. They were done many weeks ago, once it became evident they got lucky early on, able to win all those games they should've lost, down by 20+ at the half, that the bad teams choked letting them back in. Over the last month or so, the Lions are who we suspected they were.

And don't forget the Vick hype.

The "he's a changed man", "becoming a pocket passer", etc stories were coming from inside & out.

Again I'll blow my on trumpet on that one . . . I've seen it all before.

What did old man Nora call him again . . . "a coach killer" . . . was that on the money or what? :D

Primetime...

Difference tho was you were tipping the upset and people scoffed backing the favorite.

This time you've gone soft taking the Goliath  :p

Goliath? what are you talking about? Green Bay are going under the radar :D

Yep. Giants are done and the players know it.

Yep. I am a bit worried though about the other 2 teams i backed in the Falcons and Jets. Not sure if Turner will play but the fact a 3rd string QB is starting for Houston i have to take Atlanta and you dont know what you will get with the Jets but they are better then Washington.

It's not so much the Lions that worry me . . . it's us.

These are the sort of games we lose, regardless of the opposition.

The NFL did us a favor moving the game though. Had it been a 1pm start I'd be more concerned.

Was just posting about Vick on a Raiders site....

Atlanta will beat Texans I think. They have a good enough team to handle the excellent team that is the Texans. Helped by the loss now of two starting QBs. Yates will mean they play less than their full potential, and Falcons have the ammo to compete with the Texans at their best. Jets will dismantle Redskins. Will be close, but they'll be good enough.

Don't worry, JD. Saints and Brees this time of year, they're heading into the home stretch in preparation of the playoffs. They'll be bit by bit shifting into higher gears. Normally, they'd be like 10-2 and NOW would lose a few, play a bit scratchy. But this year they've had a rougher time thru the first half of the season, and so working towards that high-standard playoff consistency by the time playoffs start.

For someone quick to call out others, you sure took your time getting to this thread ;)

I will admit it's hard to find exactly where the Giants will beat the Packers. But I'm 2CR confident anyway that the Packers are due for a loss, and that the Giants are this type of team that loses a couple in a row to meh teams but then comes out and can beat a Patriots/Packers type of team.

Tho they've been down of late, the Giants pass rush can still not be underestimated, and Manning is elite enough to attempt to go toe-to-toe with Rodgers. Plus, the Giants wide-outs are pretty good. With the loss of Bishop/Hawk, possibly they win thru Jacobs and Ware, the ground-game, in the second-half of the game, if they can keep with the Packers or hold a lead.

I can also see the G Men laying a mighty left hook on the chin of the Packers! I think they have 1 left but who knows if it is this week they land it.

Not real confident predicting any team for the win ATM!

Maybe . . . but I'm a Saints fan GG. ;)

No team (St Kilda the same in this part of the world) find ways to blow it just when it looks like we have it under control. Look no further than losing to f***ing Seattle last year in the fashion we did.

Even when we won the Superbowl I wasn't convinced until after watching the replay.
