Now i like most others have been on the bandwagon of giving lynch shit recently and have heaped shit on him for most of the last 12 months.

I tell you what though if he plays like the way he did on the weekend i'll happily have him in the best 22 and i think he'd be in the best 22 of any team in the comp if he can put in consistant performances like that. Was breaking even with sandi in the ruck, smashing packs and actually taking legitimate contested marks.

Totally agree. I was there.
He is getting back to 2008-2009 form.

He took some spekky marks and was aggressive.

I'll have a crack.

B: Schofield, Glass, Waters
HB: Hurn, Brown, Smith
C: Rosa, Priddis, Masten
HF: Strijk, Kennedy, Ebert
F: LeCras, Darling, Naitanui
R: Cox, Shuey, S.Selwood
I: Stevens, Embley, J.Jones
S: Swift
Em: Lynch, Stevenson, Dalziell

I've been pessimistic about injuries and not considered Kerr, Selwood, Butler, McKenzie or Sheppard (but assumed Brown and Naita will be right).

Wilson misses out as he makes the forward line too tall and Darling's form is impossible to ignore. Darling named at full-forward but will probably play further up the ground. Leaves us without a genuine FF but since the mids never look to kick to a leading forward, what's the harm?

JoJo in to provide cover down back and a potential extra midfield rotation.

Needs moar Hams:(

This is the reason we are the current wooden spooners, our second tier players are woeful. 7 Spots is all we need to fill to turn the club around.

Bit harsh on some of those guys, particularly Rosa, Smith and Jones. Surprised you didn't highlight Embley though.

I agree somewhat with Mr Skyisalwaysfalling that if Swift, Dalziell, Stevens, Jojo & Smith are in our side we are struggling big time, one, possibly two could be carried but not 5 of them.

And yes too harsh on Masten, Ebert & Rosa, these guys are all capable of playing at this level.

I did try and do a best 22 other day and really struggled when I got to the bench as we still lack depth because our younger guys, most of whom have been highlighted still need more games under their belt before they can become trustworthy week in, week out.

We are due a good year re: injuries in 2011.

Interested at who would make way for Sheppard and Butler in your team if fit?

Probably Smith and Jones. Or maybe Swift goes and Smith becomes the sub.

Ideally Embley would go based on his preseason form (or lack thereof) but let's be realistic, it's not going to happen.

I would have Stevenson in before both of them.

I have doubts whether Smith will make it, needs to improve his decision making which affects his disposal and needs to start using his pace. I don't see him making it as a back either as he is not accountable enough, would be best suited to a wing.

JoJo looked good in his pre-season game and I like him but still needs another year in the WAFL IMO and needs to show improvement.

Stevenson also lacks defensive abilities but his decision making and disposal is quality and we really need those attributes.

Rosa is far from woeful. Ebert is still young and serviceable, but definitely has got to improve his kicking. Smith and Jones I wouldn't call second tier, they've played about 15 games between them...They're finding their feet and expectations should be low at this stage....Still in the development stage. I rate Jones highly though.

But........Swift is struggling atm and shouldn't be playing until he gets some serious form, consistency and confidence in the WAFL over a number of weeks. Such a hard player to asses....Where's he at? Where did his form, touch and light feet go? I'm a bees dick away from writing him off....Not that it means anything. Masten is another hard to rate, sometimes he's kicking well and is clean, the next week he looks like an Auskicker. Agree that he needs to consistently play to his best to be a certain 18er.

Dalziell shouldn't be playing when Rosa is, he's a poorer version at this stage and having the two in reduces our leg speed and 'hurt' factor too much imo. Good depth at this stage though.

We're going to find out a shit load this year about the future of certain players....Some will need to have ripper seasons to impress the new coach (likely) as he may not be as loyal/forgiving as Woosh.

Yeah, his defensive side isn't strong but it's not a big deal atm and we need more reliable kicks and clear thinking which he seems to have. Cale Morton is as 'defensive' and seems soft and gets played.

Stevenson's other big problem is that he can't seem to get his hands on the pill enough. He's got the skills to damage, just needs more possies more consistently.

Having said that I agree with you, we need that class and decision making ability so desperately it's worth having him in.

Is definitley missing a pork product of some kind :)

Jojo looked quality in what I saw this preseason. Perfectly suited to play as the third tall/medium against a small North team.

Wondering why he didn't play more preseason games?

I like what I saw of Jojo this pre-season as well. To me he is now ahead of Ash Smith for a HBF role.

I reckon a couple of spots are still up for grabs in the 22 and performances in todays WAFL could decide those selections, I really hope Swift can get some confidence up because his good is very good, his bad is very bad and he needs to get that strong self belief back, for his sake, the teams sake and my username sake - C'mon Swifty!

As his official player sponsor I can confirm that this season Swift will average 23 disposals a game at a handsome 68% efficiency, averaging 5 tackles and a goal a game also.

Everyone will be wearing this t-shirt too.

Yes you read correctly, he is both Swaggalicious and Fresh to Death.

DISCLAIMER: THOSE STATS MAY OR MAY NOT BE IN THE WAFL

I've moved to the 'no Wilson' approach:

Waters Glass Butler
Jojo Brown Hurn
Sheppard S. Selwood Rosa
Strijk Kennedy Stevens
Naitanui Darling LeCras

Cox Priddis Shuey

Masten Ebert Swift S: Gaff

Is Weedon ready? Have I missed anyone?

Is butler dead or something? I seriously have not heard a thing about him all preseason.

I say ditch Rosa for Smith or Stevens or stevenson, or a cat... pick one.

Apart from that... theres pretty much no flaw to your team. :thumbsu:
Hams comes in and Mckenzie is next Key Back, and thats about her...

Butler played reserves for Subi on the weekend apparently. First hitout in a while because he did some leg injury.
