Re: Round 9 Trades

Have the cash to upgrade Harris to anyone in the midfield, would like to only use the one trade this week but with Knights break even around 85, and the fact they are playing Collingwood in Melbourne I think it might be time to get rid of him.

Re: Round 9 Trades

time for a defence upgrade after a poor showing this week.

Team as is.. 17 trades and 67k left

Defence is
Goddard, Deledio, Gibbs, Grundy, Heppell, Lower, Thompson (Puopolo, Batchelor, Toy)
Midfield is
Swan, Judd, Mundy, Thompson, Selwood, Jacobs (Swallow, Harris, Bewick)
Rucks is
Cox, Sandi (Smith, J Tip)
Fwds is
Franklin, Pavlich, Goodes, N Riewoldt, J Riewoldt, Petrie, Darlings (Tapscott, Matera, Richadson)

looking at possibly getting a quality DEF in. Either that or getting some rookies in for a cash enhancement.

Ideas include..Matera > Smith.. Lower > Shaw

or

an idea like this..

Round 9

Thompson/Lower > Hibberd
Matera > Smith or Sippos

Round 10

Swallow > Pendlebury
Tapscott > Lynch

Round 11

Thompson/Lower > Enright

what do you guys think??

Re: Round 9 Trades

want to get o'keefe in this week with such a low break even can't wait until next week

will upgrade matera for him. have no cash so need to downgrade a rookie.

next week going to bring gazza for krak. this will also require 2 trades.

the dilemma i'm facing is that my original downgrade plans were
tapscott > smith
then next week
thompson/lower > jacobs

but with tapscott having a low b/e and thompson/lower fairly high it might be worth downgrading thompson first then tapscott next week. BUT smith and siposs are both on the bubble so can't really wait for them. can't seem to find any worthy FWD rookie that has played 1 game and will be an option next week.
any help?

I'm not sure exactly what you mean but Thomas lynch has played 2 games and bye this week

Getting Shaw in is probably a good idea. I did it myself & happy so far.

Question on Fyfe. I'm thinking of trading him into my forward line. Does anyone know why he is playing so well? Is he getting midfield time? Or is Pavlich a better bet?

Tom Lynch.

On the bubble, but has the bye this week.

Re: Round 9 Trades

18 Trades left - $94,500 in bank

Deledio, Adcock, Gibbs, Goddard, Broughton, Heppell, Lower (Stanley, Duigan, Toy)

Swan, Judd, Selwood, Krakouer, Atley, Bewick (Swallow, Hibberd, Curnow)

Sandi, Cox (Smith, Tippet)

Buddy, Pavlich, Jack Riewoltd, Nick Riewoltd, Steve Johnson, Nahas, Petrie
(Tapscott, Matera, Richardson)

was going to downgrade either Duigan to Puopolo or Matera to Smith/Siposs and upgrade Curnow to Hodge/Boyd/Any Mid <$573,900

Leaning towards Hodge as he is wayyy underpriced...
Then the following week double trade again for another mid for Swallow i think..

Any thoughts guys?

P.S Boy am i glad i didnt dump Nahas after his 25 vs the Pies! lookin like a great F6-7 for me!

Re: Round 9 Trades

Like a lot on here I want to bring in Gazza next week so I will need to save some coin this week in order to do that. But in the mean time I am looking at doing 2 trades this week and would love some help in which direction I should go. This week I will be trading Grimes and Swallow.

Option 1. Grimes > Shaw/Fisher/Adcock and Swallow > Hodge/Montagna/S. Thompson

Option 2. Grimes > Suckling/Johncock/Newman and Swallow > Boyd/Mundy/Priddis

Any thoughts on which option would be very handy. Cheers

Some tasy combinations out of those lot... but id have to go with Shaw and Hodge...
Hodge is dirt cheap really and he looked free on the weekend of any nagging injuries

Re: Round 9 Trades

Got a backline of:
H.Shaw, Deledio, Adcock, Goddard, Gibbs, Heppell, Lower
(Puopolo/Toy/Buckley or Hibberd MPP's)
and $183,000 spare cash.

Weighing up:
1 - Toy>Suckling
2 - Lower>Enright/Newman
3 - Warnock>Cox

Any advice which way to go? Thinking option 3.

Gotta jump on Cox mate...

Re: Round 9 Trades

I have 16 trades left and $120k.

This week I was going to trade Harris out for Gibbs and then swap Gibbs for Hibberd to the backline. Harris still seems to be on the way up though, not sure if Gibbs is about to start rising again yet???

But, Hale is injured and I am getting impatient with Petrie. Other option is hale to bottom price ruckman (probably the Hawk that gets named this week) and then Petrie to Cox. Already have Sandilands.

So what should I do? Gibbs (1 trade) or Cox (2 trades)?

Gibbs in the backline would push out Lower.

Cox this week. Gibbs next week.

Re: Round 9 Trades

Any thoughts on O'Keefe as a dual position forward? Were his lower scoring games for any particular reason or is he just flaky? Take away the few shit weeks and his average is great, and he is 100k+ less than Pav/Fyfe/etc (the other dual-position forwards).

Thinking...

Petrie -> I. Smith
Swallow -> O'Keefe, whom i then move into the forwardline in exchange for Krak to the midfield

Then Krak -> Ablett the week after

Re: Round 9 Trades

Harris > Hibberd
Otten > Adcock or Fisher

Thoughts boys?

Harris has a BE of 17 so he's got a fair bit of money left in him, probably try to downgrade else where if you can.

Seems like a pretty good trade plan you have there, I'd say go for it. I think some have said this Jack being out has meant Okeefe gets a bit more time in the midfield which I guess would be helping.

Re: Round 9 Trades

Should I trade A.Swallow or Curnow for either J.Kennedy, A.Goodes, J.Bolton?. need to cover for J.Watson.

Re: Round 9 Trades

I've having a serious think about bringing in gilbee..he has a breakeven of 38 and has the 153 floating around under 400k he seems like value. Anyone think he will be able to average the 105 he has in previous seasons after finding some form?

Re: Round 9 Trades

Harris > Hibberd
Otten > Adcock or Fisher

Thoughts boys?
I'd do it if hibberd gets named, do you already have Isaac smith? If not i'd probs take him before hibberd. I'd take fisher over adcock as well.

Weighing up my options this week, need do get rid of b.smith as he's set for a big price drop, I was thinking of going

Curnow > Smith leaving me with 261k so I could then upgrade b.smith > adcock leaving me with 30k in the kitty, OR I could go smith > suckling leaving me with 100k

Thoughts guy's?? Cheers in advance:)
