As a poker player i do like the sound of that +EV situation ringing in my ears but...
I represent a team. i have great confidence in my team. As already posted in this thread i am looking to back my team in a bet against any other team in the country.
I really dont run on individual ego, nor need to make an individual bet (ill leave that to PK

Less than a minute, second page.
I remember when you made the post and thought this guy is arrogant (claiming you were favorite). SJ is a good consistent SC coach and has ranked as high as 12th iirc.
I'm sure you have ranked high too, so it made for a good close bet (no favorite)

lol, clearly u didnt read the line that led up to that bolded quote if thats what you thought. I was trying to avoid an individual bet at the time. I would have thought the person pushing the individual bet was more likely to be targeted than myself for such a comment as you have made.
SJ's trolls and goons strike again. There has not been 1 YSCC poster for the entire year that has said a bad word about SCE or SJ. I certainly cannot say that we/I have been shown the same respect.
I wouldnt make an individual bet again. I made risky decisions to try and get up the top. If i had of focussed on the bet then i would not have been willing to make these decisions. My focus is no.1 not just beating another coach.

lols at taking it too seriously. I can take a joke from friends or people that i know but Im not interested in taking crap from unknown snipers.
my rivalry is with SJ not some randoms. If you wanted it to be a team thing you had your chance to take the league bet. imo you forfeited that right.

No one here is on the front line killing off opposition websites, nor going out of their way to purposefully troll or flame them.

Being connected to supposed 'rival' websites isn't a crime and I'm 100% sure that Mods everywhere like to see proper discussion whoever the person is. Hopefully 2012 brings more and more people into the serious side of Fantasy AFL, and people aren't scrutinised for being under a certain banner.

I also initially thought FBDonkey's post came across a bit over confident (maybe cocky, maybe not) so I threw out a 1-on-1 challenge. In the end it was PK who took up the challenge.
But I was wrong, FBDonkey personally messaged me and wished me the best of luck in the bet - a really even handed thing to do given PK was one of his own. He also messaged a few times through the season to see how it was all going...no negativity, just interest.
I think forum posting always ends up leading to misinterpreted content which can then end up as a runaway train as it has done to some degree here.
FBDonkey provides great information on his site which I use. I also use the other sites. I post on Bigfooty because it's a good community with a decent amount of regular posters and i find that the most important thing.
FBDonkey has historically been a good poster on all things SC and should be given some credit. We'd also like to see posters like Hondo and PK and other YSSCers post on here as they want as they provide good analysis and add to the overall debate.

If sticking together is taking shots at members from other groups, YSCC isn't interested, thats not the kind of people we are. A little friendly banter is fine but if you continue to gang up and taunt people from YSCC you won't find us around anymore.

FB is a competitive bloke - who as far I can tell wanted to re-ignite a bet v the SCE. I personally would have loved to see the bet taken up - in fact it should be a yearly tradition!!! You guys got us this year, congrats - so we're off to study harder for next!
SJ refused stating he couldnt back 15 other blokes to hold true all year - all the rest was meh - banter.
