What happened to The dogs on the weekend?? Who would have picked that one??? Gee it must be hard to pick the Nelson's apart as the Border Mail can't !!!! Who would have thought Mitta would have a good season with there list on the older side of things???
darren does not want to leave howlong and matt does not want to leave dederang so it will b a tuff pick for dan. how could u say matt would not get a seniors game at wodonga he has kicked over 50 goals this year in front of him are 2 guys that get the ball kicked to them every time they go forward and are winning games. big matty is in a losing team and still kicks his 4 to 5 goals a game and scott willba is also up there in the goal kicking also. pretty big call i think. matt bradshaw is a good player and with him playing in a team with darren he wont get the best defender every week so look out

Matt B has all the tools to be a pretty handy O and M player, dunno whether Benny Hollands has had a crack but they need some serious size in the forward line, i'm sure Daniel could squeeze in there somewhere

i dont think they will end up at the dogs or north albury good luck to who ever gets them will b handy and ither way if they go to howlong, dederang will find it hard to replace matt and same with the other way. big dollars will be need to get all 3 of them anyway is it worth it or should clubs try go for 5 $200 game players or 1 darren bradshaw that doesn't train

yeah matt bradshaw to kick 4 goals and monkey magic 11 !!!! I hope the goal umpires have done some extra strecthing they will need it up the valley .
yeah the top 5 will be very close but that will make finals even better.

The Saints are talking to everyone and anyone that has the ability and creditials to take us to the next level on the field.
The challenge is on to find a coach that wants to accept the challenge to go from the bottom to the top and let face it, the only way is up. It can be done and has been done in the past. the club has worked hard off field and now needs someone to take it to another level on the field.
But I'm unaware of anyone speaking to Brad, although I'm sure people are putting the feelers out there to make sure we get every opportunity to get the right person for the job.

If i was the Saints i'd be looking at maybe getting a coach who's taken on teams who've been in similar situations at other clubs. Brett Wightman would be an excellent choice, he helped turn the Doggies around at Thurgoona or maybe Glenn Eddy who did a great job with the BB Saints when they were down on their knees. I think its almost last roll of the dice for the Sainters, it's all well and good to win netball premierships and have plenty of juniors but you need to have a competitive senior side for these juniors to play for or other TDFL clubs are likely to cherry pick the best of the kids they have. They seem to be a well run club off the field hopefully that can translate into some onfield success. All the best to them for 2012

If i was the Saints i'd be looking at maybe getting a coach who's taken on teams who've been in similar situations at other clubs. He said they are the types of blokes we need. Good, smart footballers and would have ability to draw players to the club. Aim high, achieve high and dont settle for mediocre.
But let face it you have to start somewhere, and what better the a free advertisement in Thursday's border mail.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHH Shit yer well done saints, i imagine the wodonga crew would have went nuts sat night, whats this mean for the hoppers,
hoppers are in alot of trouble will be hard to get players to go there or even go back there. was talking to one of there players and he said they have already told the coach they wont be getting him next year wow 4 coaches 4 years and the list is just getting worse an worse back to the hoppers from 5 -6 years ago.
the keiwa boys look good for a big finals pushed the dogs on the weekend after they left the water running on the ground on a thursday night and with big hortel back in the team hopefully get mcvean in there might go ok.

Well done Sainters on your first win of the year, hopefully you can get another against Chiltern or Yack. How has Tallangatta got so crap in such a short time? Premiers in 2008 and beaten by the league's perennial easybeats in 2011
Surely their fall can't be pinned on one bloke (the coach), maybe their committee and players have a bit to answer for. It was always a risk for them to buy in so many players to win a flag and it seems when one goes they all go in quick time, Beechworth is starting to look the same. Hopefully its a lesson all clubs can learn from.

Watched Chiltern V Beechworth last weekend and thoroughly enjoyed it. Not exactly the best standard of footy, but what it lacked in talent, it gained in over all enthusiasm. 3 point games are always entertaining no matter the standard.
