Random stats or facts are appearing here and there in relation to our season.

Thought I would keep them in one spot for future reference and offseason arguments.

1. Jamison, Kreuzer and Waite - our first choice FB, Ruck and CHF, did not play in the same team together in 24 games.

2. Carlton lost 8 games from 24 with an average losing margin of 18 points. Our biggest loss was 36 points. Only one team has a biggest loss for the season that was less than that (Geelong).

Feel free to add more.

We averaged the least amount of free against per game whilst being 4th in average tackles per game. No one got reported, only a few reprimands and fines. Tells me the boys are hard at it but have the discipline to not give away stupid frees

Could have something to do with Waite having been out for most of the year ;)

Except in the goal square in a semi-final decided by 3 points

... well someone had to say it.

Carlton played teams from the top 8 a total of 11 times throughout the season, while WC played 7 and Hawthorn played 8.

In the end, might have been the difference in a tight contest for the top 4.

7 losses and 1 draw from the 24 rounds with 2 byes.

Although, I must admit that the draw against the bummers definitely felt like a loss.

Also I thought that Jamison, Kreuzer, Waite and Houlihan were in our best players in the 2 matches against the bye with Waite and Hoops kicking 10 goal bags.

The total free kick differential between the first and second halves of the West Coast Eagles final is the largest in VFL/AFL history.
