Good list mate, from the Saints I would say that Fisher has been a standout for us and without him we would be doing a lot worse then what we already are. I'd also have Gwilt above Dal Santo in your list but apart from that I agree with your thoughts.

Also in regards to Frawley, unfortunately he still butchers it a lot when coming out of the defence which for me is a big weakness in his game

The best 3 players this year for the Demons have been Sylvia, Moloney and Frawley.

To say Frawley has been better than Martin is, as you would put it, "laughable."

If Lecras keeps his form up for the rest of the year he should well and truly be in the top 50. Missed the first 4 games but is still 10th in the goal kicking (while playing alot more in the midfield then last year, and also not being the number one target inside 50 now with Kennedy, Lynch and Darling all having good years) he is also averging 17 touches a game, 4 tackles and 4 I50 a game.

If he can kick a furthur 25-30 goals in the last 9 games he might even push AA again which would be sesational considering he was ment to miss half the season to that groin injury

Yes, LeCras has bounced back from that injury very well and could still give 50 goals a shake playing predominantly as a midfielder. Amazing really, given he was either out or returning from injury in the first 2 months of the season. Would need more BOG's to be an AA chance though.

Glass would be in my 50 as well.

Griffen and the bulldogs dominant again last night that would be his third bog in as many games. However these have all been again lower quality teams so in order to break into the top 10 and for the bulldogs to be truly tested they will have to bring it against carlton this week.

I don't think the opposition is too big of a deal. Griffen wouldn't be out of place in the top 10 now. One of the best big game players in my mind anyway. Has been brilliant in most of the finals games I've seen from him.

not questioning his ability to perform in the big games, just in regards to this particular season for him to solidify himself in the top 10 and to go infront of other quality players on this list, games like next week against carlton are perfect oppurtunities.

Ablett will go 2nd if Pendlebury doesn't have a good game. Maybe he should be 1st and I'm just marking him a bit harshly due to GC's position on the ladder.

Last night:

Thompson was good but nothing special. Has played plenty better games this year but will hold his position. Johncock was outstanding and Rutten solid. Those three are head and shoulders above the next Adelaide player this year. All three wouldn't be out of place on the actual list.

Bolton arguably our best again. Ridiculous season considering after last years finals series some Swans fans thought it might be a good time to retire. I was one who thought he was gone after last year, yet he could be AA at the end of this season.

O'Keefe and Goodes in our best but that was of a bad bunch. Goodes in danger of falling off the list. Having a decent year but in the 40's at best.

Have seen bits of the Tigers/Blues. Judd and Murphy just keep rolling along. Scotland was fairly quiet. One of the worst midfield performances for the year from the Tigers so it's hard to say anything positive about Cotchin and Martin. Deledio was probably best of the three from what I saw but that's not saying much.

Mitch Robinson is having a handy year as well. Something not quite right about him but he is a maniac. Similar to Thomas in that he doesn't have the size to be able to take the hits but they both have a thirst for being nut jobs on the field. They just go into a frenzied state of mind once they see the ball.

It's the lack of a neck and those beady, dead eyes.

Have to say, he's surprised at how much his improved since he's moved into the midfield. Always been maniacal but now has some smarts about him.

Averaging 29 possessions, 0.8 goals and a ridiculous number of reckless acts over the past 5 weeks, which is an excellent return from a 3rd year player. Granted, the opposition has been pretty average and it'll be interesting to see if he can maintain it against decent opposition, but he's been in our top 5 players over that period.

Sounds about right. Although Judd was BOG yesterday and much better than Murphy.

I would imagine the top ten would look something like:

Only thing worth remarking about Martin is that he got the ball a fair few times in the back 50 and managed to give it to a player even further behind him.

Deledio got chopped up a lot this game. Got a bit of it himself but had Murphy and Judd at different stages of the game and, Judd particularly, burnt him off easily.

Cotchin's second half wasn't bad but the game was over. Thought he was one of Richmond's best (also seem to recall Rance and Jackson having good games).

Hence why I have him at no. 2. I don't think there's much between Pendlebury, Ablett, Judd and Mitchell at the moment. They are pretty interchangable in their positions.

Though Pendlebury started well there were a few better than him at the end. My thinking is:

with Swan, Mitchell, Thomas, Shiels and Pendlebury the next line of players. I thought he had a good game but doubt whether it will get him BOG.

Shaw, Reid, Cloke, Swan, Ball, Tarrant and Thomas better imo. Maybe even Jolly and O'Brien.

Happy to keep him at 2 and Ablett at 3 though.

You know I reckon you're spot on most of the time AG, but in this case you needed to watch closer. Clear BOG for us in the first half when we smashed the Hawks.

The games where he has more handballs he tends to go a little more unnoticed, but they're his most effective games. If I have some time I'll put together a highlights thingy of Pendlebury's touches in this game and the outcomes, as plenty of Pies people seemed to have missed it also.
