Called it a bit early, she choked a little earlier in the set when serving for it at 5-3 and 40-0.

Set point.....Hell yeh!!!!!!!!!!

That was a fantastic tb from Sam. She fought so well in that tiebreak and there was a little bit of drama in there as well.

Stosur was up 4-3 and served a terrible 2nd serve that almost took out the umpire. Then at 4-4 the umpire made an incorrect call in replaying the point. Petrova up 5-4 and 2 serves to come Sam played 3 great points straight from that point. Deserved the set, but we'll see where this match goes. Petrova still playing well.

Yep that is correct. Sam hit the ball and at the same time the line umpire called out, then corrected her call. Sam made an error but she had a play on the ball, it should have been a replayed point.

Great service game there from Sam. She just needs to keep it up and finish this off.

The Americans want to shorten tennis, but are insistent that they keep their sports long and drawn out

their football - long and drawn out
baseball - most boring sport in history! I went to see a couple of their games sober

basketball (3 and a half hours to play a game that should only really take 2 hours?)

Finally what a fricken match. Unbelievable, one of the matches of the tournament so far. After getting a break down in that 3rd set I did not think she could win. Just great defense when required and her forehand and serve stepped up another gear in that last few games.

She will beat Kirilenko easily in the 4th round. Now we just need Zvonereva to beat Lisicki in the 4th round.
