Doesn't look much has been disrupted just a few later starts on some of the courts by a hour or two. meaning a 4am wake up for Tomic's match now.

Far out that's dedication. I'm a massive Bernie fan but I will not get up for anyone at 4 AM on my day off from Uni. :p (unless it were a final).

Can you confirm that Fox Sports will show his match? I have from 8-5 so i dont wanna get up for no reason.:p

Says so in their blurb on the IQ so would have to think so. Day off work for the next couple of days so crazy sleeping patterns it is.

OK I placed the following bets today:

$10 on Murray at $5.50
$5 on Wozniacki at $15

I honestly don't either either will win, but Djokovic and Serena (both should win) were at such short odds it wasn't really worth it. Caro, world #1, and she's at $15, is that a record??

I put one on aswell not for the tournment but for a match. Put 10 on Harrison to beat Cilic in 3 sets paying $7.50.

I was expecting Cilic to win but not that easily, was a little disappointed by Harrison, I think he would be the type of player who improves witht he crowd behind him, wasn't too much there at that match.

Tomic started now

Tomic through in three pretty comfortable sets. He didn't really have to do all that much though, since Yani made clusters of errors. Cilic will obviously be a much tougher proposition.

Also Kvitova lost to Dulgheru in straights. I know she didn't have great form leading in to the US Open, but that's still a shocking loss.

Didnt see Tomic but it seemed preety easy juding by the score. Cant belive Kvitova she lost to some clay court mug. I think she only won one match since Wimbledon. Sharapova is all over the shop at the moment down 6-3 1-1. Full credit to Heather Watson though she is pounding that ball. Very Very dissapointed in Ryan Harrison from what i saw he was schocking. He said before the tournment there was a second week spot for him. His serve was schocking.

Kvitova out is good for Sam, now Sharapova, Serena and Azarenka have to lose as well :p

Also **** the US Open site for getting rid of slam tracker. It was the best.

Interesting to see Harrison lose, for anyone who saw the match was Cilic back to some decent form?

EDIT: Stosur just cleaned up Arvidsson in straights.

Sam started off well, can't complain at all, she played some solid tennis, served good, forehand was good and moved well. This is defiantly the draw that she can do well here so promising signs.

Sharapova was very sketchy, credit to Watson, thought she moved ery well getting a lot of balls back and the casued Sharapova a little trouble, maybe could of been a little more aggressive at important stages of the matches but that is to be expected.

Tomic's match was well... not that interesting but again it was just Tomic doing what he needed to do win and you always he could step it up when he needed to. Cilic is a very interesting match next up, Cilic was good against Harrison but I would give Tomic a good shot with his game, I didn't think Harrison matched up that well for Cilic and Ryan couldn't get into the match.

Kvitova was the big casualty, honestly not surprised, she's the type of player who can be very hot and cold, she will play better again just a matter of when. Fish has been impressive this summer and did well today.

Oh and Bellucci is an absolute mug...

Harrison was woeful, in particular his attitude. I know he's got a temper, but he lost it whenever anything went against him. And not only that, but he rarely got fired up, didn't try to get the crowd involved. Strange performance, maybe a bit worn down after a long US Open Series. As for Cilic, I thought for two sets he was excellent, hit as clean as I've seen in a while, but he went walkabouts a bit in the third. His forehand started to finally break down and he was dumping everything in the net. Harrison really should've won the TB after going up 4-1.

Tomic I thought played quite well, not his best performance, but it didn't have to be. He was always in control and it was pretty much just a case of staying focussed which he managed to do. The ever growing famous Tomic Tank came out in the 2nd set too. ;) I've noticed that if he loses the first point in an opponents service game, he often goes away very, very quickly; he concedes lots of love games.

I give him a good shot of beating Cilic.

That is an absolutely awful loss!!!

I really dont know how someone in Australia's time zone can actually be able to watch the day session for the US Open :(

The night session isnt so bad, but its definitely a very far way away

and Yet we are one with the Americans

Go figure

Just finished watching Stosur's match and I don't say this very often but she actually played very, very well. She was moving well, serving well, even her backhand was firing and produced some stunning winners. I hope it wasn't just a one-off performance because if she can keep that up, with the draw she's got she can go deep.

Good OOP tonight, although won't be able to see any of it until after work tomorrow. Azarenka opens on Ashe, hopefully we see that, Djokovic 3rd on Ashe. Good night session with Rafa and then Jovanovski/Williams. Hopefully we get to see some of Lisicki too. Dellacqua in action against Cornet, whoever wins will be pumped to just win a round at a Slam.
