Lol USO is ****ked. Surely they could at least use tarps to cover the court? Who were the morons who okayed Arthur Ashe? It would be about 8 years newer than RLA and it has no roof, and is too big. I can just imagine how the discussion went with all parties concerned. "OK, we need a new tennis arena folks. Let's just build a big MOFO we don' need a roooff".

Yes, I'm sure it is, but I'm sure they'd still just like to get on with their matches instead of having all this uncertainty. Ticketing would be anightmare right now.

And lol at people bringing up in the past the idea of AO being the "worst" slam. USO lack of roof, stupid scheduling and final set tiebreaks take the cake IMO. In saying that I'm still planning on going one day.

I reckon a roof takes something away from a stadium though...sure you can retract it and what not, but it's just not the same.

Agree except Wimbledon. They have managed to keep the heritage of the court even with the new roof. Fantastic design.

Don't mind that one of the grand slams does not have a roof. Would seem unrealistic to put a roof on AA. Did anyone see the other day when Adam Peacock was reporting for Fox Sports from the top level on AA? The top level is so far away from the court the ball would look tiny from that distance. The stadium is simply too big.

Really hope we get some action tomorrow. Got the day off work so keen as to watch Stosur i have only seen 2 or 3 of her matches. Also wanna watch Federer Vs Tsonga. Anyone seeing Muller get up over Nadal? Nadal has been average so far and was not happy when they stoped playing yesterday. I can see a tight match with Nadal getting through.

The Jo-Willy Fed match should be great, hopefully some decent highlights will be updated because I doubt I'll be up in time.

Just watched some Stosur Kirilenko highlights on the tube, Kirilenko playing like she did would've beaten most other players in the draw, seriously good effort from Sam to beat her. Hopefully Murray hurrys up tonight and it doesn't rain so she can get on court and I can follow.

Again, the matchup suits Sam perfectly, Sam played a very good match, the game she played to break Vera in the 2nd was the best by anyone in the tournament. Questionable tactics as well by Vera, really can't understand why she doesn't use her backhand down the line more, it really opens up the court against a player like Sam.

Honestly, Pennetta or Kerber will be a tougher matchup for Sam, the final is no way near booked yet.

Like I mentioned in a previous post, i cannot believe kerber is in the semi of a slam. At the start of the tournament looking at sams draw the first matchup I was worried about was against petrova. After that was lisicki, then pennetta. It has been a good run in the draw for her. Now let's hope that woz beats serena in the other semi.
