It wasn't a line call, Serena shouted straight after she thought she hit a winner, without realising Sam was there to hit the ball. The ump then took to the point off her for hinderence/interference or whatever its called.

I think Stosur is going to break the internet, people are even arguing in the comments on the USO site, tennis forum has gone spas, Serena even copping it on bloody Kerri-Anne!

That's the impressive part. Sometimes the draw at a GS will open up, and it did a bit for Sam earlier, but the final against an inform Serena - she had beaten 4 top players in straights heading in - is definitely a well earned victory and she did it comfortably in the end.

If we're looking purely at scores, that was Sam's easiest match of the tournament along side her 1st round win vs Sofia Arviddson.

Just finished watching.

That was unbelievable!!! I can’t believe how well Sam played, she was flawless! There were no shanks, no wild unforced errors, and yet she still played so aggressive and took it right up to Serena. Her hitting was unrelenting, just kept on attacking and hit with such depth. She served well, she moved well, how much has her backhand improved? The slice, I love the slice! She’s had such an amazing tournament, played so well throughout, right from the first match you could see she was on a mission here. But to play like she did today in the final, against Serena of all people, I can’t believe it.

The best match of her career on the biggest stage, unreal.

And matt, I know you've been her biggest fan, I know you'd be loving this day.
