Kev, Horne missed out on the senior side for OM's B Grade flag back in 2009, so that probably says a lot for him. I saw a few games Morrison played a year or two back and he was pretty feisty you are right, but I reckon he has probably been eating too many pastries in Europe for 12 months and has more than likely now lost his key attribute - pace. Anyway, is it Ned or Neil?

Morrissey or Morrisson? Also loves taking a couple of hiatuses up to Byron during the year up Byron way.

Rah rah - you were big on (big) Simon Taylor last week - has he landed anywhere yet in Amatuerland? I heard the mighty Claret'n'Tar have hit the lead from the OM's in signing up the man mountain. True?

No news down here at carnegie way on Taylor. None coming out of Keysborough either.

Simon Taylor will play for OM's this season.
That's great news for OM's, and good news for the Ammo's in general. Need quality blokes like that coming in. Good luck to them both. I hear he's a ripper. Perhaps Nod Merrison may have been better off staying and crumbing to the man mountain's sublime ruckwork ??

Any word on how things are going with the Purple ones down at Harry Trott National Reserve?
Mail is that Sauntner has already got a few blokes off side. Might not even make it to Round 1. The real issue might be who else leaves before then if it keeps going the same way.

Re: 2011 and Mal from Malvern

OS found out about the P.I. and the amnesty and let him go I hear!

revolving door down there at old scotch.. they come from clubs that pay then go back to clubs that pay, maybe they decided that "playing for the love of the game" isn't what it's cracked up to be? :p

Word on the street is Scotch aren't the only ones loooosing players....Xavs have been dealt a couple of blows as well. Is it a rumour or fact?

Re: 2011 and Mal from Malvern

I believe they've lost a couple, but ex AFL's/VFL's Dutchy Holland, Jake Williams, Will Smith and Cam Hunter will make up for any losses

So are they able to register, pay these guys, then claim the amnesty prior to 30/6/2011 and win another flag?

The perfect crime.

How can they get them into their salary cap?
One could almost suggest the folk at HQ have hatched the Amnesty plan together with them late after mass one night.
Don't tell me the Xavs have got an insider at EP? Heaven forbid?

an investigation into Xavs would be impossible to conduct - after everyone at EP excluded themselves due to conflicts of interest, there'd be no one left to investigate the matter save for the scoreboard operator and the bird at the Noel Rundle gate who takes your $5 to let you in.

Re: 2011 and Mal from Malvern

Noonan to Port Melbourne is one. They have depth, plus a few new arrivals they will no doubt be up there again.

This has to be a good chance for De la this year though.
Have heard that Dixon Barcleay has walked out on his old club OM's - anyone know where he has turned up?

I think Xavs ins will be better than outs. Plus usual under 19 influx.

Xavs and DLS certs for finals
Uni, Coll, StbM, Carey 3-6
Scotch to stay up
OM, OH, OT bottom 3

Xavs will be fine. They have lost better players in other years and been fine - think Fleming, Clarke, Arnold, Scanlon, Ockleshaw, Bowen etc.

Key will be who can improve the most - can DeLa's recent unders handle senior footy like Xav's kids have been able to?
