Great game in beautiful conditions at Todd Rd today. OMs were winning all day, SBMT were down 34 points with 12 minutes to go. Fantastic determination was rewarded with the winning goal being kicked from deep in the pocket just 30 seconds from the siren.

OMs really looked the goods until the last 10 minutes, they seemed to shut down and started playing to not lose rather than playing to win. Could be wrong, might just have been SBMT that made it look that way.

Went to OH today, I think we are in strife......I think Browny and Vossy may be found wanting this year, but if we can get enough ball to Trav up forward we may jag 6 wins. OS had a lot of the ball today, Im glad they didnt kick straight. I think I prefer us being B Grade bullies, Im off to the B thread now!

Great result for OT. Saw them against the Panthers last week and it was obvious that a 4 quarter effort would have seen them winning comfortably. Shutting down Xavs for three quarters is no mean feat!

Great win by the Panthers yesterday too. In fact it was a great game of footy - period. No bullshit - just hard running and eyes only for the ball from both sides.

This time the Carey boys were switched on from the first bounce and apart from the last 15 minutes of the 34-1/2 minute second quarter appeared to have De La's measure. DLS were certainly quick and displayed the fast running open footy that was rumoured pre-season. Mind you, that doesn't mean that Carey weren't fleet of foot also..... they were!

De La missed a heap of set shots for goal and I suspect that this aspect of their game will be a feature of the next two weeks on the track.

Very Interesting round, so what have we learnt thus far?

  • I must admit when I watch OC the other week I thought they were going to be way to slow to do any damage in A section but looking at the results I may be wrong (or the smaller ground at Dairy Bell suited them?)
  • Great win by OT’s did Xavs take them too lightly or are the young group from Kew/Bulleen going to take some beating in 2011?
  • Uni Blues look to be trouble early as do OH.
  • Scotch might just be able to hang onto that 6th spot again this year.
  • RahRah is very good at talking but does he actually know anything about the game? 1/5 is not a great return

It’s still too early to tell where everyone is at but it’s shaping up to be a cracking year!

Love your work Rah Rah. A few upsets today. Watched the Panthers take on De La and very pleased with the win. De La won toss and kicked against the wind......Now why would you do that????

Much better performance than last week against Trinity and Trinity performed today against Xavs. They looked very good last week and as l have already said, unless l am totally misjudging the jump from B to A Trinity will win more games and so will the Panthers.

Happy Easter boys, l am off to work in China for a while, will still keep in touch.

Keep up the good work Rah Rah and a bit of advice for you, if you want to win the tipping then tip the Panthers more often!!!!!

Kicking against the wind can set you up if you have the right attitude. anyone remember the stbmt v coll grand final in 08?? T

Yes Rah Rah is licking his wounds this week.
Very poor tipping form, but not sure too many got Trinity, SBMT freakish, and Carey..........not yet.

Carey will get a dose of reality. Not too many clubs other than Trinity will lay down in a match like the Battle of Bulleen last week.

For starters Rah Rah- You have NFI. Trinity were down to two players on the bench midway during the second qtr and had at least 6 players out of their starting 18- but yes they still should have won.

Xavs
will pump the other team coming off that battle. Last week one was awesome one was shite. The gap today should give Xavs a nice ole percentage boost. Trinity down at the foot of the table. Again. I'll start to drop in and see how they're faring next time I'm on my way to the snow.[/B]

Once again- you have NFI.

Shit post by you

Sooooo just to clarify. you thought RAH RAH's post was fairly ordinary then??

Tobias, is your name a reference to the US sitcom character or is it just a massive coincidence?

Richo = knob.

Rah Rah - take that bitch on.

Big pencil nose - back your boy.

OT - top win.
OMs - ?!

Richo True Champion, welcome to the VAFA thread. First time for you in about 4 years I see. Spent most of your 7 years as a member talking up the worst team going around in the AFL? You have nominated spuds like Daffy and Broderick as your all time faves? (Didn't they call Broderick "torchlight" because he was so scared he slept with a torch under his pillow?) And you reckon I have NFI???? Have a good look in the mirror pal (just don't stay there all afternoon like Daffy and Campbell used to).
Rah Rah is just trying to lighten things up a little, and then some Nuffy from Richmond comes and gives me a spray? It would be very easy for me to just drink pinot grigio in the new Half Moon Hotel all afternoon and give this a miss you know. But what then of my followers? And what of Big Footy. They might rename this thread Big Boring Tipping. Until Mal returns anyway. Has there been an earthquake in Malvern or something?
Well, I am going now to take great pleasure in tipping the Finger Biscuits to knock Trinity over at home next week. Xavs will have a resurrection and give Uni a touch up, and unfortunately, Old Carey will win again over Gaylebry.
Now get back to Punt road and start rattling tins again. The rabble, (in its 9th year of a 5 year plan) needs your help.

Sorry Richo but RahRah has you there! you do spend most your time over on the AFL board trying to pump up Richmonds tyres haha

Yep, Rah's got the numbers here. Might be worth while pushing back over to your AFL board and try get some of your greats back to help such a sh&t club. Some names come to mind....Tony Jewell, Nial Balme, The General or better even....ANthony Banik haha. That's good pencil, very good.

Go pies

Did I miss something? Who is my boy?

Rah Rah rocket man, Rah Rah.

I fort you two were pretty close?

I wasn't suggesting for a minute that he is your son (biological, adopted or online), just that he was your "boy" in the kickin' it together on the west sieda homies in da hood mo fo meaning of the word. I was expressing my suprise that you didn't have Rah Rah's back when Richo=knob said those horrible horrible things about him.

That's 8 syllables in one word Over.

This isn't Bigwords.com, we're all here to talk about football OK. Maybe a little drinking and pr0n on the side, but football, it's about football.

Most of the great posters, apart from Brian Speaking, Murphys Law and Max Leader don't post on here anymore, is it because of the crap on the last two pages???
Lift your game or get off....
