Nine will retain the rights because Cricket Australia won't want to 'split' the rights.

I thought that 7 and 10 would be after the domestic BigBash which rates well for Fox iirc, it would take something massive to break up the partnership between internationals in Aus and 9.

The new generation of commentary team is far too matey, and are so busy being mates that they forget the game is on. Bad news, I think they'll be around for a while, think 5 - 10 years, if not longer.

Doesn't matter who acquires the right, so long as the cricket remains on one of the popular commercial stations, we will continue to be served up the same bullshit every year. After all, a test match is long, and they're trying to make it more appealing to their average, Big Brother watching, short attention span viewers are they not?

I'd prefer Brayshaw to Healy or Slater, I thought he was alright last year in the stints he had. Knows a bit about the game and has a good sense of humour, brings a breath of fresh air to the Ch9 comm box.

Probably more suited to ODIs and T20s than tests though.

Hate Healy and Slater with a passion, can tolerate Taylor. Bill & Richie are great as normal. Mark Nichols is just class, knows how to run the show and commentate. Pigeon was alright too. Look forward to past players at certain grounds. Gilly and the WACA, Warnie at the G etc.

that could help channel 9 with there money troubles! sack the lot in the commentary box tony, Ian, richie & co those guys wouldn't come cheap. just hire the 12th and friends to commentate the summer of the cricket

The difference is Brayshaw is actually entertaining and funny while still commentating the sport. The others are incapable of doing both at the same time.
