Seven? They've got enough on their plate. Ten? They haven't got much dough either.

channel 9 are having money flow troubles as well? so who ever gets the rights 7 or 10 it would be a nice change from the current bunch of stale commentators that we have to listen to now

Please not channel 7, they've already destroyed the AFL coverage, couldn't handle them destroying sports coverage all year.

Chances are they'd grab at least half of the commentary team, it's not like Greig, Chappell or Taylor are on Nine all year.

Never saw him play, but **** I hope Allan "six of the best/just what the doctor ordered/off speed delivery" Border was a better bat than he is a commentator.

No ads during play is worth putting up with all of this. And no Slater or Healy.

No, I don't want it because a) it would be illegal (anti-siphoning) and b) there are plenty of people who do not have and do not want Foxtel.

I have Foxtel and agree that the coverage would probably improve, but the Australian summer of cricket being exclusive to pay TV would be terrible for the sport in this country. Simple as that.

true but there coverage of the v8s and horse racing this year haven't been so bad, but never the less channel 9 has had the cricket for 20 odd years how else will the bigwigs at 9 get the message that there sick of the morons in the commentary box

I dislike channel 9's efforts as much as the next guy, but that too critical.
One of the consistent commentators over the years has been diagnosed with cancer, and there would be a few people watching wondering why he wasn't at the ground commentating. It was effectively a 2 minute conversation that gave everyone an update as to what was happening right from the horses mouth. Nothing wrong with that imo.
