Fleming's insight into the mechanics of bowling is worth listening to. I quite like his affable nature too.
corridor of whatever it is has been done to death and he's trying to be a comedian from it.

you don't have to read the posts if you don't like it.
i think all in all, the new wave of commentators are just too casual.
i mean calling people by their nicknames, talking about their glory days too much etc:
you would never hear bill lawry or richie benaud call each other "billy" or "dick" or something. its getting too matey, mark nicholas keeps the formality in the presentation but is let down by everyone else bar chappell

KOK does not have a brain, let alone a good cricketing brain.I find his mannerisms and sayings amusing but I think there is a great deal of knowledge underneath it all. Just like Kerry O'Keefe, seems to have a good cricketing brain but he's mainly known as a funny guy.

Yeah, ok. But I'm yet to hear some deep insight from him, though. Despite all the years of listening.Strongly disagree.

I think he has quite a clever mind hidden underneath the jokes.
Fair enough, he does hide it well.![]()
You just need to read a couple of his books to see that he does think deeply about his past in the game, and he does throw humour into it.I think he has quite a clever mind hidden underneath the jokes.

I like him though, is quite articulate with his descriptions of cricketers abilities and he knows a heck of a lot about up and coming players, more than most I think as well.
