Every single matchup round the ground is hotly contested.
Will take some micro surgery to find a winner here.
Leaning slightly towards r2m, but can't call it yet.
Scarlett over Gunston is the only clear win matchup I can see.

R2ms average part of his team, his full forward line and rucks do not get hurt by Ellis, Carlise,Chaplin and Bailey...

This. R2M has massive defence and lots of goalsneaks, which, while not immense should be able to get it past Kristof's defence. R2M edges out the win.

DAMN these 2 teams match up well against eachother.
some of the contests right around the ground look awesome.

I think R2Ms defence will be good enough to hold out Kristofs forwards, while Kristofs defence is good enough to hold out R2Ms forwards, leaving the game to be won in the midf.

The only thing differeent that stands out to me from the 2 midfs is Judd.

R2M by 5 points, but i think Kristof matches up with R2M as good as any team does.

Well - it's bloody close. I think (once you take out the Judd and Boyd) my second tier of midfielders just has a bit more quality, and actually he might be a tiny bit tall in defense, as my midsized forwards are where a lot of my goals will come from, and his smaller defenders all want a bit too much ball.

Plus - too many unreliable kids in his forwardline, plus Jurrah, who is fun to watch but not fun if you want a reliable path to goal. I don't think he's got enough goals there.

Giving the points to Kristof on this one. Just seems to have slightly better quality and depth all over the ground. Roo2macca would probably win the midfield battle though. Tough game.

If an actual game was played between these 2 sides you could easily get a different result each time.

Carl's analysis was good and I see it the same as he has, which means my vote is Kristof to win by a point.

I voted for Kristof as well. His forwards had a lot more firepower than R2M, which is what decided it for me.

I think R2M had an excellant defence, but his options in attack were pretty limited, Coniglio, Matera, Duncan and Johnston is a very inexperienced supporting cast to Jurrah and Petrie. Jurrah is also inconsistent and Petrie isn't getting any younger.

Midfield battle would be brilliant
