VM vs VC and WA vs SA are on Foxtel this Friday afternoon. First game starts at 12:35 I believe. It's close to a certainty our first 2 picks will be playing in these games + Hunter, so have a look and see who you like ;)

He is pretty likely to be delisted. He is a massive dud if I have ever seen one. He is far too slow and has such poor disposal to ever become AFL standard. Next year will be his 6th year on our list if he doesn't get culled this year. He was mature aged (by a year) when we drafted him and the odds are well and truly stacked against him with the like of Griffiths, Grimes, Rance looking much better players.

I honestly, for the absolute life of me, cannot see why a single one of our supporters think he might turn out ok. For some reason though some do.

There is no way we will recruit Jayden Post. We've had too many tall duds in the past, we don't won't anymore thanks guys.

We will take hunter and Jake Calvert 195cm and growing power forward that can pinch hit in them ruck -will be playing for vic country and will smash them he plays like J.Brown so picks 40-41 we will get Calvert and hunter which makes me want to take fast outsiders with our first 3 picks

Is this opinion or do you 'know' something?

4 of your 5 posts have been about Jake Calvert. You know the kid? I'll watch him with interest on Friday.

Welcome to the board as well.

I read in one of the reports a week or two back that a couple of NT boys had good games in an upset win. Rioli has a nice ring to it

GWS have the rights to both Ben and Willie Rioli.

thanks my nephew plays down at stingrays and the likes of Whitfield etc get all the yahoo whilst this kid dominates -the other kid down there I think will play afl is Rennie nice size.. Also Atkins from Calder could be anything :)

That forward line will be outrageous in a few years. I hope their midfield is crap.
They might not take either though. Willie is eligible to be drafted in 2013, Ben is 18 already, so can be drafted this year.
Both are very light as well. Like, weigh under 65kg im pretty sure.
GWS will probably take them though :p

If Melbourne finish above us , the pressure will be on us to get the picks right. I would prefer if melbourne got the picks before us so they can stuff them up and we can pounce ! ! hehe !

Lol how does that even make sense? And if they get them right? I guess we will just have to settle for the next best then..

After watching today's u/18 championships wouldn't mind getting Toumpas or Garlett down the kennel next year! Both very quick and skillful midfielders!

lots of highly rated first rounders spudding it up in the championships, makes it more exciting to see who we will pick come draft time. I wonder if they will go the smoky bolter with our extremely low picks like previous drafts (Howard, Smith), could rustle the chit out of a few jimmes (GrandBlue).

Really hoping that id Richmond de-list Jayden Post that we go for him. Good size and hands, local boy.
He in my opinion has shown more than Ayce already. He can play at both ends, but I would like to see him at CHB and given a good chance.
I reckon he would be a very good late pick or rookie selection......Of course that is if Richmond de-list him or want to trade him.
Err Umm, no thanks . One for the Callum Urch files

Dayle Garlett is on top of my wish list now. Classy with the ball in hand and has got speed as well. Would fit in nicely for us.

Have my eye on a few others as well. Lots of quality players this year. Looking forward to the next round, in much better conditions at Etihad.

Well done to all those with some insight on these kids. Thanks for sharing and keep it coming.

I see Menzal is injured, I also note that he had a bad knee at 16 and had the LARS opp. Sounds like a very good player. But there is doubts on his fitness. Note that his brother has done 2 knees. Reminds me of the doubts on Judd when he was drafted. I wonder if this kid will slip and if so, would we be brave enough?

Menzal and Stringer are the two most interesting players in terms of where they go, both have had very serious injuries but at same time are two of most talented in the pool. It will definately take courage for a club to take them really high up but both can play forward and midfield and the rewards could be anything. I hope our club is one of the brave ones.

Stringers form at the moment is worrying, but also you never know he could slide a lot and we could pick him up, everyone knows he can produce the goods so he would most likely get back to his older form.

I wouldnt use our first two picks on these kids just because of the risk but would definitely use one and then one on a more safe option.

I don't think you can read anything in his form, everyone already knew this year was a rightoff and next year will be softly softly with him for whoever takes him as well. I agree you prob wouldn't use both picks on high risks but would be happy to take Stringer at 5-6 as he has the potential to be the best player in the draft, highly versatile and is an out and out match winner which we have been craving for for years, plus his injury isn't something that will be reoccurning like shoulder/knee issues, once he is over it he should be good to go.
