Exactly, that is exactly why Murray won't win a grand slam. Long gone are the days where a grinding type player (Hewitt) can compete against the top.
Hewitt wasn't a grinder, he was a counterpuncher. Take a look at his stats from when he was at the top. The guy hit a lot of cold winners - he just liked to pick his time deep in a rally to do so.

Still, it can be said that he didn't dictate the rally and that is something I feel must be done these days to be grand slam successful. People like Murray never take on the offensive and I don't think that it will ever work.

Young Bernard has had plenty of chances...

Dolgopolov sort of wills his opponents back into matches and gives them opportunities with dumb play it seems. Has the tools though.

Reminds me of the male version of Sam Stosur.

Edit: case in point that tiebreak. Dolgopolov just lost his head there.
