How about:

Tomic is an arrogant little prick who doesnt care what anyone thinks, and hes going to do what he wants to do on a tennis court

Eg Tomic took a set off Roger Federer in the Davis Cup just to prove he can, he could have stayed with Federer and even beaten him, but people accused him of 'switching off'

The same as breaking Nadal's serve twice in a set, even though he lost the match in straight sets. He proved to everyone he could do it, without needing to win the match

People rip into womens tennis about depth, but the efforts put up by the opponents of Rafa, Fed and Djoko thus far have been truly awful. And there are about 8 women with a genuine shot at the title, half that number for the men.

Also, isn't it a bit unfair that Australian men are getting cooler night time session, no matter who the come up against? Oh and Channel 7 please show more of Murray live, if you get a chance...

its a pretty fair bet that either of the top 3 will win the the Aus open.....

The annoying thing about Men's tennis is how the depth of men's tennis tails off immediately after the top 3

The standard of play/ intensity is just not there

Tsonga, Monfils, Gasquet and Baghdatis are in the line of players who havent won a grandslam that need to lift!

Tsonga the most likely, IMO. Monfils has no hope with his current 'game plan'. Good for the highlight reel though.

You know, Petra's not the worst looking player on the circuit, Petra is someone who has substance whereas Kirilenko is a supermodel

Petra is better looking because she wins tennis matches and plays good tennis

I remember when Pat Rafter once said looks come second to him, because if he wasnt winning, he'd just be some ugly mug playing crappy tennis

You serious? Give me a break. Kirilenko's pretty weaponless but she's reached the QF's here in 2010 and has had a more than a few 4th rounds. Plenty of worse players out there.

Plus she's clearly the best looking girl in the draw (according to me).

Also a very good doubles player. Would be ranked inside the top 5 I'd say.

Why do people ever get surprised by this?

Monfils has come out with this sort of soft, weak stuff many many times in his career.

My advice is never even go near betting on a match involving him.

In Monfils' case, it's because the guy is so temperamental.

Has a serious sook if he has a bad 5 or 10 minutes and/or if the other bloke is outplaying him and often gets 'injured'.

Only, sometimes, to make a miraculous recovery when his mindset improves.
