Watching Jarmila is beyond frustrating. Seriously I'm not sure the girl has any ractics at all. Kirilenko tried so hard to choke away the set but she just hit errors. Her cOach needs to get her to construct points. Todd Woodbridge sounds extremely pissed off. Honestly I feel bad for being critical as I'm a bit of a fan but bloody hell, she plays well below her talent. I can't watch anymore. At least her attitude is better than at Hopman Cup.

Gajdosova should of been able to win that game with Kirilenko double faulting like 3 times.
that's the problem with jarka, unfortunately when it comes to tennis brains she has none and until she plays a bit smarter on the court she will remain in the 30 to 50 bracket of players, needs to construct points much better and sense a vulnerable situation in her opponent like most of the top girls do.

Car crash games you can't look away from.

Petzschner leading 6-0 6-0 2-0 over Rosol.

Rosol has had a few game points on serve to get off the mark here in the third game but Petzschner keeps saving them and taking back to deuce.

Morbid fascination.

Court 21: 63rd ranked German Philipp Petzschner v 69th ranked Czech Lukas Rosol

Closely matched? Maybe not. Petzschner leads 6-0 5-0.

In 14 previous Grand Slams, Petzschner has only had 11 wins.

6-0 6-0 3-0

Could be a triple bagel here.

it gets to a point where you dont know what is happening in a persons career and whether or not things will change, you can sense a bit of that with woodbridge's critisicism and its fair enough, its time she rectified areas of her game that urgently need improvement or she will forever be drifting along with the same ranking.

Nooooooooooo.

4-1.

Most disappointed I've been since Josh Hunt coughed up Melbourne's one and only goal of the half at the end of the second quarter in a wet game at the G a few years back

Kirilenko's gotta be one of the hottest tennis players out there :thumbsu:

cmon man you gotta keep your eyes on the balls!

anyway it's a bit of a contrast between Gajdosovas quietness and Kirilenkos grunts

WTF Gajdosova 3 break points then you just gift them all straight back and the match. I get the feeling unless she's winning easily she just goes negative in her mind and doesn't have the mental strength to fight back. As the commentator's said early in the 2nd set she needs to just take one point at a time.

I just want to take a shot at channel 7. Didn't get to watch the tomic game live, so preceded to turn my phone off, Facebook off, radio off and not check the net. Settle in to watch the replay on ch7 last night. 2 sets to 1, channel 7 go to a news update beginning the adverts - and blow the bloody result!

Seriously, if you are showing a replay, don't give the result away half way through the match! Very disappointed, just glad it was tomic that won and kept me watching

Never understood why tennis starts so late. Outside courts should start at 10am like they used to.

The after work traffic probably, push it back into a timeslot so people can knock off a little early and still see a couple of full matches.

It doesn't help the players on hot days to be playing later as I've noticed in Melbourne the temp doesn't peak until really late afternoon/early evening sometimes here.

Dokic takes the first set.

Alot of people on TF, are jumping off Jarka. I'm not talking about the main lunatics in the general section but the ones in the aussie subsection who seem to be quite decent.

And regarding that rainbow thing it completely failed, which was good to see. Not because I agree with anything Court said, or because I'm anti-gay or anything of the sort, but to try and over take a tennis tournament for a politcal protest is bullshit. I've nothing against Robson though, I guess she just got sucked in and thought more people would be participating. :p

She'll probably play Bartoli but at least she won.

Did anyone here see that tweener by Djokovic?

Sharapova winning easily against Dulko 6-0 4-1 , a good result considering how many upsets Dulko causes.
