Monfils' early matches are always like that. He's a lazy prick and he plays down (or up) to the level of whoever he's matched against.
Monfils appeared hampered by something physical rather than mental, that wouldve been pretty obvious to anyone watching.

What I find funny is when the mens match is first everyone leaves after it and its totally empty for the womens, but when the womens first everyones there from the start to the end

The trainer certainly helped. Dropped a couple of games early as the back was still a little sore but as the set ended it was much more even.
Just got back from the tennis and man did i pick a shit day to go. Retirements, bagels...a total yawnfest on centre court today!
Was at the Monfils game and gees he was playing up his "inury" big time. I left after he lost the 2nd set and I said to the people next to me that Monfils will win the match. I cannot sit and watch a person who is as skilled as he is simply not try, not run for balls, basically give up on points. Monfils is brilliant to watch at times, but other times very frustrating.
I hope 7 replay the Monfils match. Henri Leconte would be going off.

It's not our fault if you imply we weren't watching and tell us something is "obvious" when, given a long list of similar incidents in the past, it's not.
