Hopefully Serena finishes her game in under an hour so we can get to the main course.

I like how they've put the mens game first more often this year but it needs to be permanent IMO.

Monfils appeared hampered by something physical rather than mental, that wouldve been pretty obvious to anyone watching.

Wow; you reckon, do you?

So, pray tell, then. Why did he miraculously go from supposedly being pretty much unable to move more than a step to running easily from coast to coast and leaping to hit volleys all within the space of about 20 minutes?

What I find funny is when the mens match is first everyone leaves after it and its totally empty for the womens, but when the womens first everyones there from the start to the end

Mr needle?

The trainer certainly helped. Dropped a couple of games early as the back was still a little sore but as the set ended it was much more even.

Was at the Monfils game and gees he was playing up his "inury" big time. I left after he lost the 2nd set and I said to the people next to me that Monfils will win the match. I cannot sit and watch a person who is as skilled as he is simply not try, not run for balls, basically give up on points. Monfils is brilliant to watch at times, but other times very frustrating.

Oh you mean the faux injury he always seems to get at big tournaments when hes losing?

He could never possibly play injured then? Always just in his head?

Bigger story at the moment is the commentator basically accusing the match of being fixed, the Foxtel commentary of this match has been just as bizarre as the match itself.

So bizarre, but so enthralling. No emotion whatsoever from either players, neither look like they are trying.

Very weird, but I'm not taking my eyes off it!
