What would you like to waste it on?

I would go for a bloke with a League background.

Agree all I'm saying is hypothetically Merrett and Maguire go down before round 1, we are screwed. So then Patfull and Martin have to play Darling and Kennedy, Buddy and Roughead, Walker and Tippett. IMO the KPD's we have are very talented, they all are potentially AA on the right day, the problem is depth and no I'm not asking for 10 of them, but maybe just 1 more monster of a highly rated kid, not someone we find picking potatoes in Northern South Australia or playing Gaelic Football.

It'd be Patfull and McKeever.

Of course, if Rich and Redden went down before round 1 we'd be screwed, so we should draft midfielders.

But Leuenberger and Martin may go down, so we should draft a ruckman

I can see your point but in those other positions we have young players, ready to step up. If Brown and Lisle went down, Cornelius, Karnezis, Staker combined with the mosquito fleet wouldn't be the worst forward line going around. If Rich and Redden went down, hell a midfield with Black, Rockliff, Moloney, Raines, Zorko is nothing to be sneezed at. If McGrath and Adcock got injured, Docherty, Golby, Harwood could fill the void, if Luenberger and Martin were injured Longer, Lisle with Merrett, Maguire and Brown helping out could definitely hold their own.

On the other hand, if Merrett and Maguire weren't playing we are left with Niall McKeever as one of our tall timbers down back, I mean come on.

Surely the KPD issue is actually an issue here and I'm not going crazy? In terms of our picks what do you think we should do with each one? Best available on all?

I agree that we definitely need to build KPD depth, though I do prefer the versatility of the Jaksch type of player. However I'd rather take a Rodda later in the draft than Plowman with pick 8 as I think the rewards from having a Swan or Cotchin type outweighs that of a Gibson.

I wouldnt mind Tim Obrien at pick 24 or 33 he is fairly versatile IMO

I have done about 30 write ups about 30 to go. Trying to get about 4 done per day about a page per write up maybe a bit more. I think I am at about 40 pages atm. I usually post my mock after the Phantom and I am thinking that will be the same this year.

2. Grundy
3. Plowman (purely needs)
4. Wines
5. Toumpas
6. Stringer
7. Mayes
8. O'Rourke (although I don't rate him and would be a bit disappointed to get him. I just think he is the faller and we usually pick off those types)
9. Macrae
10. Daniher

I am confident that I have nailed 1 and 10

Curious why you don't rate O'Rourke. Knightmare has pondered where his role is, while tigs2010 loves him.

Plowman is 191cm he won't be a monster unless we inject him with enough hormones to kill 5 cows to make him grow an extra 5cm. We have patfull, merrett, maguire, mckeever and clarke as genuine kpd and lisle, martin, staker and lester who can pinch hit surely that's more than enough to work with without blowing early picks on a guy who'll be 8th in line. I won't be opposed to adding more on the rookie list but we need an inside mid, outside mid, hff and kpfs a lot more than kpds atm.
