Is 91 in the PSD or ND?
DO you know how the draft works? I know that sounds and comes across as rude but it is a general question and I don't meant to come across that way. All of our picks are in the ND and we can decide to pass some of them if we want to and use them in the Pre Season draft. I hope that helps to answer your question.

Could someone confirm what picks we have.
8 + 24 + 33 + 91 + 109 if Hudson retires

* if we delist any more players then they get added on the end, add 18 to each pick, so 127, 145, etc
* if we upgrade any rookies then they get removed from the end, 109, 91, etc
* and then on the day of the draft, we can opt not to take our last pick, and use it in the PSD instead.

Quigley or Offsider what are your thoughts on Nick Murphy from the South Adelaide panthers? I rate him a rookie chance and would consider him at pick 91.
If we go tall at pick we should take Dean Towers at either pick 24 or 33. Isaac Smith 2.0?

No love for Jacksch?? From knightmare's write-up, he sounds like a budding Bradshaw. Would not mind if we target him at 8... (assuming he grows to become a beast in three years when our mids peak). Anyone have insight on this kid?

would be great at pick 8 if we get either mayes or garlett or take a punt on stringer
pick 24 jesse longeran or pognriach if they are around, would love shaw but he won't get past Freo's first pick
and pick 33 perhaps take a punt on spencer white or tanner smith or hrvoat

though I'm sure like the previous two years they have some bolters lined up for pick 24 and 33 they rate that aren't rated on big footy who will be stars
My dream draft now has us taking Stringer at 8, Longeran at pick 24 and Spencer White at 33.

Really looking forward to the draft discussions heating up now. Be good to start hearing from some of the other quality talent spotters. Feel like I've read Chris25 and Knightmare's stuff about a dozen times!

Interesting that for a so-called quality draft, some club reps at trade week were giving an indication of not utilising their picks past 40/45 or so. Is there a sense that there is good quality at the top of this draft but that it doesn't go very deep?

Yeah. A lot of clubs were trying to get out of the draft by pick 45 (Melbourne being the notable exception). It has been a trend for a few years although it was definitely more pronounced this year.

From our perspective, the club has been up front that it wanted more players taken with early draft picks. Seems an obvious thing to say but you really are taking a punt if you are relying on 3rd-5th rounders to drive your improvement as a side. There's a higher degree of certainty with top 30 picks.
