would be very annoyed if brisbane pass on grundy even thoughim not normally big on getting talls with ealry picks

but would the draft experts like quigley and offsider say he is a MUCH better version of acorn? with his contested marking ability

We were pretty coy about who we wanted last year and sent out some strong signals that we wanted Tomlinson, then our guys went giddy went Longer was still there. I don't think anything is concrete yet except for Whitfield at 1.
Good point. I think it is almost certain GWS will take Toumpas as well at 2 or 3.

From what I have read and seen (others may correct me), Grundy is no sort of version of Ace. Apart from the fact that they both play forward (Grundy at least in part), that is where the similarity seems to end. Grundy is a beast of a man, Ace is, according to Vossy, a third tall.

Rumours in Adelaide have Mitch Grigg being firmly in the forced delisting line due to the Tippett debacle in which a contracted player must be left off the Adelaide list to make room for Tippett. Any interest or would clubs turn a blind eye due to the circumstances and let him get reselected by the Crows?

Grigg was fairly unimpressive in the SANFL reserves. Won't get picked up elsewhere.

see in todays sun the cats are saying they want stringer boys and he is looking good to be a cat
I would be flabbergasted that he could go that low, but stranger things have happened.

Also, there are females reading and posting in this thread. ;)

On KM mock draft a Blues fan reckons us and the Saints have show interest in Jesse Wells.

If true I imagine it would be for the rookie list.

Jake Stringer

Recruiters described the 191cm goalkicker's running gait as "atrocious" in the 3km time-trial at last month's AFL draft combine.

Another said it was like he was running on "one leg".

Mindgames. ;)

Still want.

Look at his TAC Cup production on return. He's a freak.

Really want us to back him in. I feel that rebuilding during compromised expansion drafts has robbed us of the opportunity to pick up a couple of genuine elite top 3 draft pick types that teams normally get their hands on in a traditional rebuild.

I see Stringer as a chance to rectify that. I am normally very risk averse but I have a good feeling about Stringer.

I am declaring him "my boy" for this draft, joining such luminaries as Sam Docherty (2011) and Dyson Heppell (2010)...

...and Austin Lucy (2005)
